I actually count Blender as a fav specifically for some reason Amir KNOWING the drink was making him blind but doing it anyway just always gets me, also that the entire scenario seems to be something he set-up himself to prove he knows what these words mean
Blender is a classic. One that my siblings and I still quote, so definitely too hard on it. I also think it didnt help that yall paused in the middle of the banter and broke the rhythm of some of the punchlines
I know this is from months ago, but thank you both for making my childhood more happy. Went through a bunch of rough patches and came back to relive some old laughs. Very happy to see this. 💜
It is so amazing to see you guys laugh at this as well. And then I remember different things like when he says "Don't blow smoke up my ass." It's cool to see other people remember other things about these episodes. So much fun!!
Yeah I think their humor has changed a lot. Not sure they would even be able to write these types of amazing videos, because even they don't get how they formulated such bizarre thoughts into gold.
I'd love to see an (in character) Amir at his most offensive vs. Jake/Insecure Jake at his most offensive and hear their comments on those! p.s. You're both amazing and forever have my love and support. Thank you for everything!
really hope you guys put these all on CZcams one day, I'm a patron & love it but man the Patreon site NEEDS an upgrade, becomes a pain-in-the-ass if you're scrolling down, you get two more Load More's and then videos wont play, gotta reload, scroll, load more, scroll, load more, scroll, load more, maybe have to reload & do it all again plus more, etc. and then I'm where Im up-to. Patreon gotta step up their game if people are delivering this much content
sorry if this comes off as cunty, I don't mean it to, I put myself through it alll, reloads & all, just feel it could be easier & more accessible but I guess Patreon wasnt expecting you guys to put out as much content as you guys have
I quote Jake and Amir to this day. The best episodes are the ones where the roles would reverse and Amir would be the voice of reason and Jake would be ridiculous. Like the chin strap beard or the piercings episode. Also the one where they try to get into a club (“Game, do-do-do you have it?”) And of course where Amir goes to TGI Fugly’s. These episodes made my childhood and shaped my sense of humor, so thank you for reminding me of all the gold 🥰
4:40 there ARE flavored cigarettes in different countries such as Costa Rica. You can buy blueberry and strawberry ones with menthol. Back in 2016 I thought it was cool so I bought them and they tasted horrible.
The green shirt from the promo pics was a different shirt actually. It may have been photoshopped regardless, but it wasn't this particular orange shirt from "Blender"
Van is a sign that Daniel is Dutch. As opposed to von which would indicate German. I don’t know what he was talking about Denmark that might have just been one of those Amir things
I think it's possible Jake was bending his finger instead of putting it in amir's mouth, when he pulls his hand away I couldn't see the end of his finger
I'm Canadian... can someone explain what "thistling dixie" means? Lol. I know what the confederate flag stands for but I don't know what the phrase means or why it's offensive haha.
A "thistle" is the name for a type of sailing boat. The term "Whistling Dixie" is used as basically saying they're caught up in daydreams/fantasy. The term itself refers to old Confederate soldiers still whistling the songs of the confederacy long after the civil war had ended. It's a pun that combines the two. The term "Dixie" is also a bit antiquated but that alone isn't the problem it's the flag that's actually the problematic bit.
I was also curious about that, so I did some googling! Here's what I learned: "Dixie" and "Dixieland" are old slang terms that originally referred to the Confederacy and the people who lived there. Dixie is also the name of a song that was popular among Confederate soldiers. Nowadays it still has an association with the deep south, and it's usually used to evoke "southern pride". "Thistling Dixie" is not really a common phrase. It's probably a reference to "whistling dixie", an expression that means being overly optimistic/fantasizing about something that won't happen. It comes from the song I mentioned above, and the vain hope that the Confederacy would win the war.
@@felynecomrade I agree. But they're under the thumb of a certain ideology, so they have to pay their homage and genuflect before the altar. Nevermind that the fans who actually enjoy the old content are made to feel like something is wrong with them.
@@SeraphsWitness Bro, did you like the episode because he was wearing a confederate shirt? Saying that is problematic has nothing to do with the content of the episode. The word "problematic" being spoken in your presence doesn't mean anyone is saying there's something wrong with you.
@@MrReelio3 I was more talking about the greater issue of them disowning their old jokes, which they do on a regular basis on their Patreon. I actually never noticed the Dixie shirt, nor do I really care. I'm willing to bet most of the fans feel the same way. They either didn't see it, don't care, or both.
Same. Everytime they watch an episode where Amir says/does some horrible stuff, they often act like it was bad to include. My guys, that's a huge part of his character. Stop being ashamed
Whenever a full patreon episode is released on CZcams for free I react in this same way in that, “I deserve so much more”.
well someone is feeling gregarious today

Y'all were too hard on Blender! One of my all-time favorites. Hookah is, of course, also excellent
they seem to dislike a lot of my favs and love anything from the LA era
hookah is amir boiled down to the frickin raw!
@@justinszabo5205LA era is objectively the best from a comedy standpoint
Kinda gross for me to watch lol
They always rush the second episode
'You know how you're always telling me to blend stuff?'

Blend!

"Blend! Blend this!" is one of those lines that has stuck in my head ever since
"Blenda!"
Them cringing at Hookah Jake's tshirt and not even noticing that it also has a kkk member on it lol
I always find it funny how I know the episodes so much better than they do 😆
don't blow smoke up my ass!
Blender is a classic. One that my siblings and I still quote, so definitely too hard on it. I also think it didnt help that yall paused in the middle of the banter and broke the rhythm of some of the punchlines
One of my favorite things in these videos is too see which of their jokes Jake laughs harder at and which ones Amir laughs harder at.
Two of my favorites. Of all the quotes from this show that I say "you know how you are always telling me to blend stuff?" is one of them
Also "WHATS UP?" after a loud thing stops
god jake and amir poisoned me. i call out my friends for every petty little thing and i think it's hilarious.
It's hilarious that the Hookah episode was the pre cursor to Lonely and Horny.
I loved Blender. It was especially funny because Amir proved he actually knew what those words meant after Jake says he needed to learn words.
Yeah it was weird that they didn't catch that in the re-watch
?? He misuses everything but “dollop” lmao

I still quote Blender randomly on a frequent basis. Really a lot of J&A, thanks for being so fuckin quotable bros!!
Both of these episodes are a few of my all time favourites.
Jake was hard on himself but I thought it was hilarious when he goes “you’re blending again!”
Jake went from wearing a confederate shirt to wearing a white powers shirt
Classic half-Jew
I like how Amir is focused on what shirts Jake is wearing, just like the old episodes.

Lol Eminem Stan reference at the beginning
I wanted to know if you were gregarious ohh - I love that line, so good
Camel used to make flavored cigarettes. They were called Camel Exotic. The only one I remember is like mint mocha or something like that.
The bloopers/outtakes video for Hookah includes the creation of the cat in the bag.
I watched hookah waaaaaaayyyyyy back when. It’s so funny to see the thoughts behind the madness
When I was younger I laughed pretty hard at the way amir said blend this
For as chipmunky as he is, Amir is pretty hot
Hookah is an absolute classic

Love the random ass Stan reference in the intro hahah
Blue foster used an excerpt from Hookah in their song tonight!!!!
