  • Reviewing the 2019 Cadillac CTS-V! Unfortunately, this is a car I set very high expectations for and it didn't quite meet them.

I'm currently shopping around for one. Quite frankly, the CTS-V looks WAAAAY better than the ATS-V, which is the most important aspect of any car, imo.

Your review seems really bias based on the price of the vehicle. It seems to really turn you off on the car & thats fine, your titled to your opinion. Its like your not even trying! Lol like who just stomps on a gas pedal with a car that's rwd & over 600hp & expect it to hook! I've seen your videos with the hellcats. Its not as fast in a straight line not as good on some things but its a Luxury sports car. It's meant to be more of a track sedan! Which actually keeps up with or even better than some of this cars new competitors. Its like 400lbs lighter than its competitors. Thats what the car is for & what your paying for. Js.

Would take this over a hellcat anyday 🤷🏾‍♂️

I have a Hellcat but would pick the CTS-V over the ATS-V or Hellcat. There's much more luxury in Caddy and that depreciation is your friend. Truthfully you see a Charger at every stoplight.

The downside of being early is the lack of comments

We're not gonna mention that this car is in the top tier of handling in its class. The value in it as a used car! Not to mention the potential of the exterior and interior styling! This current spec was a little base imo.

You made clear you don't like the CTSV... Therefore your review of the car is basically irrelevant. The V is a beast and I'll take it over a Charger all day

That giggle when you get on the throttle is what it's all about... you can't replace that kid like happiness

Why would you compare an ATSV to a CTSV? They compete with the M3 and M5 respectively. Stop reviewing cars, you know nothing.

I am over 50 and own a White CTS-V 2016. This is not a practical car. It is not meant to be a practical even though you can drive it as a daily driver. It is meant to be fast with luxurious features and it's target market is for mature men that have made it and want a trophy. I am not a BMW or Mercedes man and none of my friends that own a high performance European car would ever consider my car. I like the ATS-V, (coupe). The sedan to me it is a child's car because of it's size an seeming lack of Interior sophistication. Every car does not need a big V-8. I love and adore the tt V6. It is an incredible engine. It's quick, quiet and quite capable. May I also add that we track our cars. I have 43,000 miles on my car. The rest of my guys (all of them that drive European cars) Mercedes, BMW, Maserati and an Alfa's have ALL had problems with overheating and throttle body issues. They all have fewer miles than my car. Only the porsche ( a Panemara) and the Audi (an A-8) have had no mechanical problems ( just bushings on the Porsche.) My car eats tires for breakfast but otherwise it is a fantastic car. It's not the most sophisticated and it's not for everybody but given the lack of problems, foreseeable problems, bang for the buck, the ability to hold the road and it's value for years on in, as well as the attention it draws, not to mention the smile it still puts on my face when I press the start button,😃I choose the Cadillac CTS-V again and again. (Sorry got carried away.)

That transmission delay was a main complaint in early 6th gen camaro but they said its due to it being shifted electronically and not by wire like the ZF 8 SP

I have a white 1 with black rims from the factory with the luxury package I think you just got to drive it around for a while sometimes time wins you over I never liked BMW'S until I owned 1 now I do. I've owned all 3 generation's of the CTS V when you do that you have more of a appreciation than someone who just sits in it for a hour and review it. Great video never the less.

You should have used launch control for the 0-60. It work really well. It limits throttle in 1st and minimizes wheelspin. Once your in second its hooked. The paddles do suck a big one.

    About time, welcome back 👌🏽

  • @flakko512

how is the ats v comfortable but the ctsv isn’t when they are both basically the same exact thing when it comes to the back seats

I know everyone loves white and black for these but for me the Bronze Sand Metallic is such a head turner, I think that’s what I’d go with.

It should be noted that this CTS V was a fully stripped down base model with no CF parts beside hood, no spoiler, etc. While msrp may have also been easily 100K-120K at one point with options, you can find these used for 50K and 2019’s from 73-95K at this time. They’re easily selling 10K+ under msrp for new ones right now
