- Take a trip to Gigantamungous Studious with the Rugrats crew for another mini-game filled console title! Rugrats: Studio Tour is a spiritual sequel to Search For Reptar, but will it be able to improve upon the original's simplistic formula?

“Mario Kart on foot” a.k.a. Sonic R
The foot race minigame is literally sonic R
Minus the greatest soundtrack of all time
Angelica "RIP in Pepperonis"
Me and my mum played the kart racing together once. She was terrible at it and I tried to help her. Regardless, we laughed it off and had fun. Also those baby models are adorable, especially my favourite Dil. :D
"That's a title you usually see on one of those 'naughty' sites"
If you see rugrats on a "naughty" site you should probably destroy your PC before the FBI come.
Bought this game at a Thrift store a while back, played it a bit and then donated it back to the Thrift Store, didn't even finish it. This was one of the few Rugrats Games I could never bring myself to finish because I just wasn't having enough fun. Royal Ransom is the other one I could never finish.
This game was bundled together with 20 other games when I got the PS1 back when I was little in 2000. One of the fun games I had. It felt nostalgic watching this
The outro of "NEXT: THEN: LATER:" at the end is such a cool throwback and way to preview future content. I really like these videos and your channel deserves more attention.
I owned this and Search For Reptar when I was a kid. Beat Search for Reptar, never beat this. I picked them SFR up a couple years back (Wife's request), and we had a good time with it despite some clunky physics and occasionally iffy controls. I finally bought Studio Tour a couple weeks back to give it another go. Like you, we started with Angelica's pirate minigames, and right from the start, we discovered two things: The controls are really stiff and the camera is infuriatingly broken. I cannot begin to count just how many times those things caused me to run into enemies or screw up jumps. It was incredibly infuriating. I could swear on my life that sometimes the jump button would even register an input, especially in Chuckie's outer space levels and Angelica's Sherlock Holmes levels. Another thing that bugged me was whenever there was a map. I've handled map mechanics in retro games before, but I swear, during the treasure hunt and the tag missions, the map gets really confusing, no doubt down to the controls...
On the other hand, the golf games were OK and I'd say the kart racing with Phil and Lil was actually good. It was the one time the controls didn't feel busted. Granted, it's no Mario Kart but it worked. Chuckie's outer space sidescrolling game worked fine for the first section, and I thought things were looking up... and then they introduced Phil made it isometric. That was a big "Nope" for me. The worst missions? Easily the Round Up game with Susie. The first two rounds were fine... then along comes Spike. Not only are his controls infuriating, but I couldn't for the life of me work out how to get those stupid sheep to go where I needed them to. They just walked about doing what they wanted.
Honestly, this is a game I feel like would be better with a modern day remaster. Pair this and Search For Reptar and it could be alright. As it is, this thing was bogged down by awful controls, a terrible camera and infuriating mechanics. Now I know why I didn't finish it as a kid...
Every game dev should be subbed to this channel.
fun fact: the guy who says "I'm gonna be sent to the moon if i don't finish this scene." and does the narration in Chuckie's area? That's Steve Blum aka spike from the dub of Cowboy Bebop and TOM the host of Toonami.
And he's a SPACE director... OH MY GOD STOP WITH THE FORESHADOWING
Also, don't forget, he was Hal Jordan in Injustice 2, who's a space cop.
I had this back when I was a kid. I didnt remember it as well as Search for Reptar but watching this video helped me remember it
Kinda curious about that Wild Thornberries GBC game. I’ll wait to watch gameplay of it until your review
you mean Rambler?
This is also one I grew up the following release. I had my fair share of fun with it. I do give more edge to Search for Reptar. But I did enjoyed both overall.
One of childhood favorites
Steve Blum voiced the Space Director. His most famous role is a robot on a spaceship (TOM.) And of course, he was Green Lantern in Injustice 2, who's a space cop.
I might check that game out
The bonus kart race in multiplayer is fun
11:47 see guys he didn't review teen Titans for the game cube because children watch him
What a brave man
Aside from the Harvey birdman game but that's an exception
11:46 oh my lord... XD
I literally beat Castle Capers in 40 minutes while watching a Futurama retrospective.
I'm a bit worried for your take on Royal Ransom, I liked it well enough even if there were some annoying parts, especially if you play on Medium.
Having played Royal Ransom, I think it's alright, especially for the novelty of being the only 3D Rugrats game to have Kimi as a playable character.
Are you going to do the spongebob and friends game series, attack of the toybots, friends unite and the goo game. They're ingraved in my brain at this point
I think you were a bit too critical of this game. Rewind back to your childhood and remember how fun it was, that's who the game was aimed at. I loved this as a kid
Just finished this game for nostalgias sake and man am I crazy or is there a creepy vibe going on in some of these stages? Like the first Angelica chest stage, there's hardly anything around except collectibles, one or two enemies walking around, and the audio is almost as empty (Aside from the Reptar noises)
I loved Search For Reptar as a kid, but I never finished this one until I was an adult trying to finish games I'd started. I bit too stretched out, but still good.
I loved this game but never beat it somehow. Wish my copy never got too scratched to work
So I have a question can you or will you not do the Teen Titan games? when it was actually a good series to watch
Hey David I actually would want to see those also
I know some boyos who should play this…
How about reviewing Rocket Power Beach Bandits and Fairly OddParents Breaking Da Rules or Shadow Showdown for the PS2 next?
He'll get to them eventually. He's doing these games on order of chronological release date
Hi, thanks for uploading your video.
I used to play this Rugrats game on Sony PS1 when I was a kid and I remember I finished the race track by collecting all the keys but I never beat this game because I also remember I was stuck trying to herd the sheep and it made me feel frustrated 😤 so I decided to give up playing it.
After I opened the door that Dil went through, I was greeted with another door. This one has 25 keyholes, and only one of them works. This part relies entirely on random luck. That doesn't even make any sense. I thought there was only one door ye know. That is just bullcrap!
I'm not gonna play it again and I just don't like that game. It's probably one of the worst PS1 games of all time.
Anyway greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
please do rugrats in paris
he already did
You forgot oggy and the cockroaches games
That's not a Nickelodeon show.
Oh boy you are not going to enjoy the next one... you are gonna quit youtube altogether
Time Traveler's is okay. Not great, but not to the point of questioning your love for video games.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862isn't the next one totally angelica
