I was there. I had a 1963 Ford Zodiac MK3 and in that year, the M25 was incomplete so we trawled along through various contraflows stopping every few miles to offload the gallons of lunchtime beer (probably Double Diamond or somesuch shite around 3.8%!) into roadside culverts! Happy days.

the joy was short-lived. Norwich later sucked into relegation battle and lost.

@@thetruthk5138 yes, came to put you in your place that’s right. I don’t need to watch a tin pot club playing in a tinpot cup when I can watch ipswich win domestic and European honours with England’s two best managers.

@@thetruthk5138 actually we do own the ground, the land is on a massively long lease. It’s also a ground that is bigger than Carrow road, had held a full England international, has more season ticket holders than norwich, higher average attendance even when in league one, and now in this division, which has seen the club win European and domestic honours and never been beaten at home in Europe - a record.

@@thetruthk5138 what have Norwich done in football? Won two poxy league cups, never won the league, never won the fa cup or a European trophy, never had an England manager let alone two of the greatest managers - it’s honours include “participating in the uefa cup” - no self respecting club that’s ever won anything would ever put that in their honours list. It’s pathetic and laughable. Tinpot.
