yeah about that lag in funk hole, i recomment getting off of the developer branch for levels that dont require it. funk hole doesnt require it. so if you play it on the normal branch, it might lag still, but it will be much more consistent rather than having 5-20 second pauses.

I think the lesson learnt here is:
Don't play ol666's level on the dev branch.
What's dev branch?
@@fastnot Dev branch is the Development branch that is almost always getting updated. Expect bugs in dev branch though.
dev branch is normally smoother but it gets unstable with ol666's levels (and levels of that grade) if you run into stuttering problems, consider switching back to the normal branch.

The trick to this is actually to not focus on what is going on but instead to focus your character

Oh yeah, now you're getting into the real levels that make this game great. The BH levels are some of the most well-decorated and most challenging levels that I've ever seen, and I can't wait for you to no-hit this whole chapter!

About the lag in the funk hole,i recommend getting off the developer branch for levels that don't require it,Funk hole doesn't require it.It will still lag,but it'll be more consistent.(This message is not mine,please like and pass it along so he sees it.)

if you don't want those sudden lag spikes, you should switch to the normal branch. it will have a little less smooth animation, but you won't have any big lag spikes. it's just more consistent

Edit: as ~Official Dre~ said, you really shouldn’t use the dev build for levels that don’t require it (it’s very unstable and causes those huge lag spikes)
Its great how merg does so many different games but when watching them back he remembers all of the little features
Like how I recently watched the whole Subnautica playlist (great by the way) and through each episode he can remember details so tiny that I forget them in the 10 mins between the episodes

Hey merg, the only way to contact you is through youtube comment, so i’m doing this here even though it’s not really related to the video. I just wanna say that the Celeste community just released a really awesome big collaboration map. They’ve put many months of effort in this and it would be awesome if you could check it out. The name is "2020 Spring community collab". It has a custom soundtrack and a ton of really innovative new mechanics. The difficulty starts easy and gets harder progressively, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble for the first half of it. There are tutorials on youtube on how to install custom maps. I hope you enjoy it :)
