extremely hard to find previously. stadium truck and trophy truck are good search terms, you will also like some of the trucks from BAJA one thousand.... and previous SCORE... short course off road.....

Gordon has been doing Stadium trucks for ages, decades maybe, and there always was stadium racing since the 1970s for off-road.
Gordon just went a step bigger adding it to circuit races, fairly logical progression for him with his background of Off-Road, Nascar and Indycar racing backgrounds.

I'm glad I accidentally found this racing. I'd never seen it before. I don't understand why this isn't big time mainstream racing. This is more intense than anything else I've seen. I would love to drive one of those just once. All that power and suspension travel is amazing

Rallycross is up there man
Rallycross is whoever gets the start wins, no passing, no action. they even had to put a joker in the get some passes happening. As with WRC, they also need to go back to 2WD.
Years ago I proposed this to a few people before this became popular but without the jumps.
My idea came from seeing rally cars do sections decades ago on tarmac on rally tyres What is needed is exactly this, V8, lightweight, and no grip tyres, and something that can bang into each other lightly.

This racing series was started in the U.S and Still runs there ,they are Stadium Super Trucks . Robbie Gordon an ex Nascar Racer started it using Trucks Mickey Thompson created to race in Stadiums. @Chin Gon Hate much? I have better things to do. I was merely expressing enthusiasm for a great spectacle of a sport. Have you seen how little it is for a race team to buy an entire year? It's less than $500,000, i want to say less than $300,000. That includes EVERYTHING. The team doesn't buy trucks, doesn't have to do R & D, they don't have to do engine building, testing, etc. They just show up at the track, pick up their truck and go race! Look up Dale Earnhardt Junior's podcast with Robbie Gordon. It'll blow your mind how well thought out this is.
Robbie Gordon is a genius. And getting Aussies involved is also total genius. The American public doesn't know how awesome Australian racing is. These trucks have channeled Aussie attitude.
Mate Super trucks originate from the US we here in Australia and Canada also race them.

Correct, that's where stadium off road started, but Gordon has been running these for a few years in America previously, mixed surfaces and more recently, all tarmac races as well.
