she depths on my of until i despair
as much as i love the custom levels, admittedly a lot of them seem based on violence, and definitely do not account for brutal difficulty. this level, however, was not only a great homage to the rather underappreciated wrath layer, but very decently balanced and fun to play despite its shortness. music was really fittingly mellow and aquatic, and the unique room layouts definitely scratched an itch i didn't know i needed scratched.
if i had to lodge two complaints, the first would be that the first encounter room was the most difficult part of the level owing to the triple sentries, while the rest were more appropriately balanced. my second would be the rather lazy boss at the end, but i'm willing to overlook it since it's surely not easy to make custom bosses for ultrakill that aren't simply edits of an original enemy.
overall, loved playing this level, and i'm excited to play the second level of the pack tomorrow. props to the creator DRAGHTNIM for his spin on wrath :)
oh, and if any of you epic gamers have custom levels to suggest to me, please do comment them! i'd love to play all of them! :)
