- FOUND MONEY!! While dumpster diving at a bank!! We found a wallet with money!! We never hit a bank before, so we decided to hit one on our way to our other spots. Upon arriving early found a few banks not knowing it would change our lives...

im glade some people return money i remembered when i was a kid i found a wallet in a grocery store and returned it to the customer service . my friends were telling me to keep the money i told them no and gave it back to the customer service :)
Anthony Galatolo Never give found items to customer service. Hold on to them, and try to contact the owner yourself. I have had experiences turning items in, and customer service keeps the cash, and returns the empty wallet....If you’re lucky.

Alternately... Go to a location with returning/departing service members and buy some of em lunch. I did that with $ 50 at Hartsfield Jackson airport. Handed it to the cashier at the Wendy’s to feed however many of the Airmen that were in line behind me..Felt nice.

Banks have to keep their trash for a while - just in case they can't balance and they accidentally tossed something. This guy can work at this bank and his wallet fell in the trash by accident
$50 worth of pb&j sandwiches. My reasoning is that you can give like five or six sandwiches to every person. Since they don’t go bad and it might help for a few days

Miss WildLife Odds are the bank may not give a damn. I found a bank card on the ground next to the ATM at a Chase bank. I wrote a note and wrapped it around the card, and placed it in the night deposit slot. I called the bank later and explained the whole story...They didn’t seem to give a damn.

Hi guys well I'm gonna say that the bank is done everything possible probably to find this guy and hes probably one that's gonna be kind of off the grid not really have a home in a permanent address type thing and more than likely you're not gonna find him and I think it's great that you're want to help the homeless and that type thing and I think that's probably a great idea and instead of buying like cheeseburgers are some like I'd say buy breakfast breakfast sandwiches like like sausage biscuits or something like that whatever is the cheapest on sales and feed the most you can in I think that's an awesome idea breakfast is the most important meal of the day so that would be awesome buy breakfast for the homeless great idea! the law is that found money should be handed in to the local PD and if it unclaimed after a month, then its yours. To keep a wallet that has ID is a felony punishable by custody. So head to the police department. Its already sketchy diving a bank....

Patricia Crosby I was told by an Atlanta Mero cop to keep the wallet, and find the owner myself, as even he was sure the cash wouldn’t make it. I actually have experience here. I found a wallet with cards and $700 cash in it. I turned it over to security AFTER getting the owner’s name and # from the wallet, and called him to tell him I found and turned in his wallet. He called me back and asked what had been in the wallet. I told him...$700 and cards... The wallet had NO cash when he got it from security.........

Not in illinois.. Its a federal offence because they have confidential information in their dumpsters. Maybe where you live its legal, but they said chicago area and thats really close to me. Ive spoken with several different counties about what is allowed and what isnt. Banks, pharmacies, and hospitals are illegal in illinios, Regardless of signs posted or not.

Things that don't seem right about the first 3 minutes of this. First of all no actual diving just opening a bag cuz its sketchy by the dumpsters... ok, then what is nifty and interesting about those little papers with amounts on them? Maybe I just don't see it, they were like oh this is cool to random actual garbage, there wasn't a variety of things. Third, that's a Chase card. A debit/credit card belongs to someone and there IS a name on it it's not "Just a bank card". Also, the way they sound, it makes me think this is fake.
