      This is the most "economical" presentation of any type that I've ever seen. Every minute is so packed with information, I just can't see how anyone could absorb even most of it in just one viewing. This is my type of YT video: "Just the Facts, and NO Bull Shit !!!"

    Great tutorial! I found a way to make the pattern repeatable if necessary- create fill layers at a density where you can get isolatable selections. Isolate the piece you are using and place them at a border of the image so it goes off the document. Duplicate the layer and transform it to the other side of the document (can use the transform tool, click on the triangle to transform by relative dimensions, then translate + or - the pixel size of your document). Do this until the borders are completely covered with these layers. Then it should be repeatable!

      Good method, an old trick from back in the day is to use Filter > Other > Offset. You can enter a value to push the pixels across vertically and horizontally, then clean up the joins and you'll end up with perfectly repeating artwork.

    great tutorial until you got to putting the different bird images together to make a single pattern. went so fast and didn't explain that part - can't figure out how you put all the images into one file/graphic and then adjusted them. : (

  • @genesis2303
    @genesis2303 Před 4 lety

    Great video but if there is no repetition it is not a pattern it's great tutorial for making large multilayerd textures. Textures can't do this - streamable.com/hhmgrf. Btw photoshop should update this script function, preview sucks if you want to distribute sth along the path with this method, and this is only way to make repetition with drop shadow in a row (only way to make a spine alike things and add them dimension) at least without using illustrator.
