Hey Mo, the kcl dental course has changed quite a bit since Ali started in 2012...! For Med School vs Dental School, you might want to get a current student on, to compare what it is like today!! Especially since covid... The programme has changed a lot. There's a CZcamsr KCL Student Dentist called SufSmiles, who might be good to interview!! 👍👍👍 Btw this video was really interesting to hear how dental school was for Ali, vs myself - graduating next yr.
In Italy, France, Spain, Austria and Portugal till 2001 dentistry/stomatology was a medical specialty requiring medical degree before 3yrs of specialization in Stomatology. Dental abcesses or cases of osteomyelitis...are life threatening conditions and are treated by Dentist on daily basis. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons( Dental Specialist )treat oral squamous cell carcinomas, maxillofacial trauma jaw cysts and tumors etc. We are specialist of the maxillofacial region no other speciality can treat this anatomical part of the body.
Come on, dentistry is like a tiny subset of the more superior Medicine - real Doctors :).. Is like your Investment banks - Goldmans, Deutsche Bank compared to your retail bank - Co Op, Metro bank... Ha ha
@@dac8939 there's no superior or inferior between dentists and doctors. Dentists also have opportunities to finish their MD/MDS where they can specialize in oncology and head and neck surgery. And therefore they're also given the title of doctors.
