never try to copy jim simons as he uses a tons of data which you could never think of and never try to do trading because what is not said in this video is that jim simons himself has said that the amount that the money which he has been able to build is extracted from the traders as jim simons have always been on the opposite side of the trade which swing traders or day traders do . so thinking that you should also do trading is nothing but foolishness as you would just transfer your money to the quants like jim simons. nothing bad for jim simons i also love him because of his work but what i am trying to say is that never start trading specially when your are influenced by these stories . so what should you do, start investing and by investing i mean long term investing follow great investors and learn from them ,read books on investing

You did not explain the most important thing You should have explained the difference between a discretionary and a rule based trader . Jim symons fund does rule based trading and they make entries and exits according to pre fixed historical data
