- Kamen Rider Saber is definitely one of the most drastically different Kamen Rider seasons in the franchise! It's got some crazy aesthetics, wild and out-of-the-box story telling, and toys. So many toys. In today's episode of Rider Potential I'm going to be looking at all the different wants these elements can be incorporated into an adaptation of Kamen Rider Saber!

I personally think that Saber doesn't need to change a whole lot to be a solid adaptation, but I really like the ideas you presented here!
One thing I would change is Saikou's origins. The sword of light's original wielder would still be alive, but feels that the sword should be passed on. He/she (I'm flexible on genders) would find a successor in the show's established comic relief, who is instantly thrust into battle and becomes Saikou without even realizing they'd turn into a sword at first. While figuring out Saikou's power, the original wielder tells them to "make their own story," ultimately resulting in X Swordman.
I like that idea!

going with your idea of a hogwarts-esque southern base, I think it'd be cool if there was some sort of riotrooper/ride-player default suit that the students use in battle accessed via a blank seiken (the sword-driver seiken minus the crest using the one-slot buckle from Falchion's driver and a generic "armor" wonderride book)

I think a cool way to bring luna back would be that she and Touma where childhood sweet hearts but she disappears after a Megiddo attack Touma joins TSOL to find her. Later she resurfaces as The cat megiddo that mei was turned into. After being freed she eventually becomes kamen rider Eros using the sword of love and her main book being Romeo and Juliet, her sword could have a cool ability like turning into a bow. After a while she and Touma re-kindle their relationship but she eventually sacrificies herself in the finale being one of the reasons Touma retires.
That sounds good. Not something to complicated but yet something sweet .

14:02 Although I really like your fan-made adaption, I would change the part where Espada gets her new upgrade. I would have Raimeiken Ikazuchi evolve into its Gekkou Raimeiken Ikazuchi and create the Arabiana Night WRB from the fusion of Jaou Dragon and the Ikazuchi WRBs.
Fun Fact: The original script actually involved Touma already being a swordsman before becoming a novelist. This was changed due to the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

When Espada says Saber changed the future then says the future won't change, I think he means the outcome is still the same, in the future, the Sword shows him if Toma has Elemental Dragon or not doesn't matter, since Kurayami shows the worst outcome he always sees the world ends if he doesn't seal every sword.
Personally I like the idea of girl Calibur, but from the kid's watching the show perspective making a woman use the badass evil dragon armour, even if it was passed onto a male user laterwards would still feel like it made it less cool from their perspective.
So rather, I'd make Espada a female like how Power Rangers changes the gender of Yellow Sentai characters.
I said Espada could be female too so that would just make Calibur go from a female character to a female character
Dude kids wouldn't care if a woman used the armor first. I mean they came for the badass action Toku has, so chances are that the gender of a person suing the armor wouldnt matter to them so long as the show is good.

I think the idea of a Rider school isn’t just a good idea for a Saber adaptation, it could be a good rider series on its own. One thing I would change about your idea would be the Primitive Dragon box-book being made by the MC’s (they would probably change his name in an adaptation) anger for being framed and how easily his comrades (supposedly) accepted it! Also, one original idea I think should be included in Saber should be a Wonder Ride Book being more obviously based of The Hobbit and/or The Lord of the Rings! It kinda surprised me how they had stories like Hansel and Gretal and other stories yet had none from the genius mind of Tolkien! However, there 2 thing I think you should consider when it comes to adaptations:
1: translating the electronics in the role playing toys. Saber is a prime example of this because often time the entire transformation sequence would be in Japanese with either one English sentence or just an English name or no English parts whatsoever. A lot of Sentai toys changed some of the sounds and voices when brought into Power Rangers, and the voice for Ryuki when using cards was changed for Dragon Knight (the one series you don’t have to do an episode for)! Also, they could also change something like (to name a random example) Drive in Japan says “Tire Change” but could say “Pit Stop” in a western adaptation!
2: what kinds of names do you think characters from these series could have if given a western adaptation. For example, they could give characters from this series names from the stories they use, like Saber being named Arthur!
These are just somethings to consider, I’m not saying I could do a better job than you and I think this is nice!
I really like that this Thoma was a student-swordsman in the beginning and in the end he chooses to become a novelist. Nice move
The adaptation story that you made is really cool but I have an idea where the leader of the Sword of Logos is Sophia who will be Calibur but instead she is actually evil and becomes the Issac aka Solomon of the Adaptation. Her plan is to use all of the swordsmen in the Sword Of Logos as sacrifices to resurrect her demonic villain friends and Touma and the others have to fight against Sophia and the other villains.
For Touma, I wanted Touma to not be a part of the Sword Of Logos but rather, Touma is a struggling writer who fails to make good and successful novels and he has to learn how to make a good novel. It is revealed that his previous novel was a very successful and critically acclaimed novel but after that, he hasn't made a novel that can surpass his previous works.
The reason why this is the case is because Touma has a side of him that not only can write a good story but is actually Touma's Rider side that is able to become Saber much similar to Genius Gamer M from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.
I really liked the mix and match gimmick which is why I got upset when they stopped doing them after caliber died

I actually really like your idea for a Saber adaptation. I think it would definitely work, especially if it was the second season adapted to America (Zero-One needs to be first, it just writes itself) and I’d definitely like to see this happen. The only thing I would maybe add is to maybe include a Luna like character to replace Mai, by having her be Touma’s friend on the outside, who secretly does have connections to the swords of logos. Maybe while the Megiddo are part of the original book but gone bad, Luna is the reincarnation of the good of that book (Kinda a little like Trigger is a way) and maybe she could become Rider of creation, who is the only one who knows and helps build the creation of the Xross Saber. Other then that, yeah, your idea rocks. I’d also hope for maybe a Zero-One crossover with a lost rider from the past who’s also back for revenge

I actually have my own idea for an adaptation where it would kinda like be an isekai.
Each character would be interested in different kinds of books when they are transported to the Wonder World and each Seiken would be like Excalibur.

This has to be my favorite so far
Some of the things that I liked alot were:
Saber actually connected to the Sword of Logos and him keeping his love for books by being a book worm
Espada not going on a "I must save the world" crusade and just being corrupted is a bit better imo
Kurayami and Saikou having two different (since in the past Yuri wielded both in the original) wielders
And the inversion of Grimoire and Solomon's placement in the story is nice.
Some questions though (mostly useless or nitpicky):
Is there a leading mentor to Saber?
Are Saber and Espada still closely related? Like friends or past associates?
Does Buster still have a family?
And lastly, does Emotional Dragon have any TRUE story relavance?
Master logos would be the mentor until he becomes Falchion
Saber and Espada could be friends that were part of Southern base until Espada left or they could just become friends at the base
Buster would still have his family, anything I don’t explicitly mention stays the same

i think the only thing id do is when touma gets the logos crew on task that how we use the sages, make the sages sort of "squire" or "training" forms and thus we can have an epic shot of touma as saber standing before a large ground of riders in training using the sage suits

I think that every season from Zero-One onwards have the chance to be adapted. Zero-One has received a shout-out in the recent Power Rangers season, plus it could be tied with the events of Beast Morphers and act as a sequel to Operation Overdrive (hopefully a better sequel than it), and I think (puts on tinfoil hat) that Revice's not very overt reference to previous seasons might have been made to make an adaptation easier.

A while back DosmRider made a video about how Saber could be adapted as A Dragon Knight adaptation. And personally that would be cool Hypothetically they could make the movie they planned a few years back which would tie into the next season being the Saber adaptation.
If this were to be adapted, either in the US or Australia, it will include mild blood, mild profanity, and some violence, I want the English version of Kamen Rider Saber to be PG-13.
If I want to adapt Kamen Rider in English, it will be on CZcams Premium or Netflix. Minimal blood or profanity, and some violence. Start with Kamen Rider Decade, then Zi-O, then Saber. At least three seasons per rider, one season a year with 30 or 40-ish episodes.

I gave my idea for an adaptation in your season review so I'll add some things I'd put in it.
The ridebooks are made by an alchemist who later becomes saikou x swordsman after providing his worth.
Kamen rider falchion would be reanimated corpses.
A desast redemption after learning the value of life and became the true falchion and defeats charybdis and befriended a red riding hood megid who looks like a normal human.
A Red riding hood megid who is kind and wants to live in peace.
Kenzen and slash are gender swapped.
The princess and Espada are siblings.
The king is revealed to be caliber.
One of siblings becomes caliber after the king (if brother sister becomes the new Espada).
Kamen rider storious is a thing because storious is pasested by solomon and there powers fuse with solomen in control.
Storious is a zelis prophet sorta like woz, legeiel is someone who fights with honor and respect saber except when using primitive dragon, zooous is a wildcard and is the only one quick to temper, Desast is about the same with a tweaked character arc, charybdis is sadistic, no honor and easily able to kill his fellow megid to gain victory, not to mention hungry for power.
Sabala and durendal are not siblings.
The lords of wise manipulate saber's allies agents him so that can rule.
The sword of light is still sentient.
The choose their welder by their hearts.

Actually a power ranger adaptation of Kamen Rider Saber could work if Hasbro makes their own mecha fights for and have the main three be new rangers and have the rest from past ranger teams like caliber could be maybe the first hero's soul getting corrupted but give his power to Kendall after the power was purified, and be pretty neat and have the story set around the power rangers being forgotten from the villains and maybe a sequel to Mystic Force as well as it could be cool to have Clare come back to be the allies to the new group or heck be a ranger as espada or calibur's replacement instead, and the sword could be like part of the ranger's soul and what give them their memories back since one of them becomes the sword and could have Saikou be a new ranger as well or maybe the phantom ranger or be both with his second form.

I have an idea: Maybe I could rewrite the story of Saber with a mix of themes added including war, genocide, generational trauma, immigration, following your dreams, shaping your own destiny, and identity. It's like a mix of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, with Avatar: The Last Airbender.
My idea just make it dragon Knight season 2 and make emotional dragon the final form pls

My idea is what if the person whoever uses kurayami will only be corrupted by its darkness when he/she has a heart full of malice and vengeance.
If I'd adapt Kamen Rider in the US (I'm UK by the way), I'd start with the phase 2 Heisei riders (except for Zi-o) and Zero one. I'd start with OOO because of his suit and combos (the combos are the best thing). Plus I would have OOO have a crossover with Power Rangers Dark Universe (my adaptation of Toqger).
One more thing. If I adapt Kamen Rider Drive then I would make it a sequel to Power Rangers RPM.
Also if that sounds good then I make the Kamen Rider series into an animated series.

Your adaption story of Saber is cool,but I have another idea. Story wise,there is Megid Virus start to spread to the whole world 40 years ago leading to humanity extinction. The remaining survivor becomes swordsmen and swordswomen later. They receive the power of the holy swords which allow them to gain resistance to the Megid Virus,but still have the risk of the virus infection. Falchion is the one who wants to spread the virus. It's begin with the sealing of Falchion,the selfish swordsman. However,before that,he want to expand more of his swordsmanship,so he created another alter ego which leads to the birth of Saikou,the more noble and honest swordsman instead,which is not really according to his plan. For Saber,he was already experience the swordsmanship from beginning. However,Calibur is actually the original Saber before being corrupted by the power of Megid while the current Saber was a copy of himself. Both Durendal and Sabela came from the alternative timeline where they're the only Kamen Riders in their home world. For Buster and Slash, they're father and son instead. They're also help Saber to discover the truth about his origin and make him stronger. Espada and Kenzan would be two female riders who were rivals since their first meeting. However,Espada is more open heart woman while Kenzan is more like tsundere instead. For Blades,he is the last prince of his royal family and also possibly the last water swordsman in original timeline. Their organization is The Raven Feathers. For how Saber get his final form,he was warned about the side effects of using it,losing his memory and personality forever. But in order to protect the one he loves,he insisted to use it instead. His final form has Saber Alter like appearance. Through the note book containing all his memories that he wrote before the final form usage,he manage to recover his memory slowly, although he is not himself anymore. Desast was born from Kenzan's unknown evil side of her. For Blades final form,he met himself from Durendal's timeline,they have a big duel leading to the birth of the Ice Swordsman. Calibur Jaou Dragon and Saber Elemental Dragon born as a sign of him accepting the current copy of himself. Saikou X-Swordsman contains Falchion previous power and potential as well. Espada final form was created by herself based on her experience in The Raven Feathers and potential.
Note:Falchion,Durendal,Saber's final form,Ice Blades,Espada's final form,Calibur Jaou Dragon and Saikou X-Swordsman are Omni Riders,which means even in human form,they have no risk of the virus infection while the other main riders are specialized Kamen Riders and the rest are normal swordsmen and swordswomen only.
I did gender swap Espada, but I also made Callibur become Saikou. I also added Ixa into the story for our Master Logos equivelant, with Storious's counterpart getting both forms. I also created a new "Spirit Rider" called Kamen Rider Cyclone (along with Flacion and Sabela are created by the new Callibur to stop Primitive Dragon's rampage and destroy Master Logos), both of which are not seen again after Elemental debuts, but Sabela ends up finding a mentor in Durandel, an old friend of her father and his sister who's like Luna but is secretly the Avatar and explains that something did happen on Midnight of NYD2000, which leads into the stories set in the decades after it, as well as serving as a conjunction of the three preceding Power Rangers series (Chivalry Force/Ryusoulger, Shining Spirits/Kiramger [primarily], my original series Power Rangers Operation Deep Sea/Shinkai Sentai Akuareiger-which has a marine biology/military motif, and their related films and comic stories).
I just counted and I have 9 lead female characters that debut in the series (Espada, Cyclone, Sabela, Saber's sister [how I guess is Mei initially-although Espada fills this void due to footage], Claire [Luna's counterpart who is basically the Avatar who becomes Sabela's mom in the finale], Yolonda Fendrick [the Sword Driver's boss], Miku Hanarate [Kenzan's mother], Guernica Henderson [who is basically Lynette Nusbacher, since she was male at birth], Fantasia [who is basically Sophia, being Buster, Callibur I/Saikou, Slash's mentor], and a new Megid general who debuts in the endgame. Valarie [Sabela's half sister], Cole Kesnia [one off character who runs a curiosities bar in Vegas], Saber's mom in a single episode (finale debut for Valarie, single appearance is in a Shining Spirits episode for Saber's mom), plus a movie-exclusive ally and a movie-exclusive villain. This does not count the Fourze-inspired prequal film about the brief Slash user Ray Stewart, who was being held hostage by the Zodiarts when he was assumed dead.
Natalie Joiner [whose daughter is Cyclone on technicality], Kiramei Green, Kiramei Pink-Kiramei red's wife and Flacion's mom], Merida [Sabela's biological mother], Taryn [Merida's wife]-photo/mention, and Holly Palmer (as the general Marryvillia) debuted in Power Rangers Shining Spirits or its related material. One character, Kelsey Taylor, is from Operation Deep Sea in a recurring role.
The Swordriver riders do interact with Natalie and Kiramei Red's older sister (and Kiramei Pink's sister-in-law) in a Shining Spirits crossover, which is set 16 years prior to my Saber adaption (and then the following series is 42 years after that, although there is material in between and the pilot of the following series starts in 2068)

I have an ideas of saber,the new character and the 9th character of saber is kamen rider pixel,the user is mamoru,the elementrise of this rider is electric,the wonder ride book is geometry dash,the sword is denki no kuden(sword of electric),he is appeared in ep 19 and the most handsome character in kamen rider saber,he is not the leader in sword of logos and he is the student of the highschool and his hobby is playing game and drinking matcha and milktea,his favorite game is 4 parts of geomtry dash is geomtry dash,meltdown,world,sub zero and this is upgrade form,super form,final form of him,and this character is not attack or hate anny other character and very kind ,friendly and cute,and he have 2 pretty student girls and they are his sister is sakura and yuuki is kamen rider calibur and rose,and his purpose is protect and help those characters in kamen rider saber,so this is the most liked and handsome character in kamen rider saber,this my opinion
I would like Saikou to be transformed and a normal person wields the sword, possible a prideful apprentice.
Here's a crazy idea: Saber, Blades, and Espada should all be one guy who can switch between different elemental modes, but there's a fourth mode that let's him separate himself into three people so he can fight using all three powers at once. Buster Kenzan, and Slash would be done the same way(and would be the brother of the MC). Calibur, Falchion, Durendall, Sabela, and X can be their own characters.

Gotta say Touma would be better suited to be a historian then a liberian. Library's are cool and all but how about just make most interactions in the library. So we have young Touma inspired by reading fairy tales and history makes it his dream to be in his own book 1 day.
After countless failures, book writers are simply not interested, Touma thought he should right the book himself the question was which adventure. After transforming into Saber and saves the day, Touma starts a new story.
I didn't mean to make an entire plot there honest. But yea just Touma hanging around the library alot and Mei or Luna keeps looking for him there.

Your version of the adaptation is alright... but MINE OUGHTA BE BETTER!!!! Inspired by the Mystic Knights & Merlin 1998, it'll be a love story between Touma & Luna's counterparts.
Touma's counterpart Trevor Pendragon was created by an evil witch named Wilhelmina Gothel (inspired by various Disney witches) as a half-human, half-wizard, created to be her champion in bringing the people of the real world back to the "Old Ways" - to when everything we see fiction from stories and such are real in Wonder World.
However, Trevor breaks away from Gothel's influence learning that she killed her mother after he was born, due to her and others being casualties of war.
Gothel in arc 2 turns Trevor's friends against him, as a means of punishing him for nothing using his magical powers for her goals. Gothel makes a secret alliance with Master Logos in their schemes. Of course, she will be the one who created the Megid as her generals.
Luna's counterpart Clara will be captured and put into a deep sleep, like any Disney princess.
As for Mei's counterpart, I have her take Kento's place as the new Espada during arc 2.
Kenzan's counterpart will be like Fuma Kotaro of Onimusha 2. His mother tried to get him away from the Sword of Logos, knowing Master Logos' cruel intentions, but was killed for it, as Ren's counterpart becomes a naive, mindless ninja & soldier to the Southern Branch.
Sabela & Durendal will be wife & husband instead of siblings, as Fabia was sent by Logos & Gothel to spy on Touma & the others, pretending to be Mei's best friend... until her true identity was revealed to her.
Saikou & Falchion are old friends during the time of the "Sword of Ethos".
What do you think where I'm getting at so far?

@@jimimonsta3209 Thanks! It'd be a waste for Espada not to be used while Kento's counterpart is away and coming back as Calibur III. Mei's counterpart will eventually return Ikazuchi to him after.
I'm worried about Calibur. Do you see Sophia's counterpart go the Princess Zelda route shedding her dress for a warrior suit?
As for the original swordsmen in the Sword of Logos:
- Calibur: Espada's father
- Saber: Saber's uncle who's protecting his nephew from Gothel as he becomes the new Calibur
Slash will be both a musician & as a swordsmith like his grandfather. While Buster is the eldest of the bunch.

My personal opinion on Saber is while the gimmick this time was really good, the story was the worst. So many things that don't make sense, plot holes, no internal coherency like there was with Zero One. It got to the point that i kept going back to 01 and just burned out on Saber, not even watching the Revice crossover episode.
Zero one didn’t have much internal coherency either when Gai used a terrorist weapon with no consequences
@@thomasjujube Gai gets comeuppance, but it's more subtle, from being in control, to being just the head of a nonexistent division, to having to rebuild from nothing and no one liking him. Meanwhile, in Saber, you have the ritual to remake the Almighty Tome requiring blades that weren't even in existence when the tome was shattered, as well as books that weren't even created until the series was already airing. Add in Storious' reason for rebelling (that everything already exists and is written) is sort of broken by the fact they managed to actually create two WRBs....There's a lot more i could go into, but those two definitely stand out most in my head at the moment.
All of the swords existed when the tome shattered. And most of the books did exist at the time, just in different forms.
@@thomasjujube The way the story goes, the tome was shattered, with the first blades Light and Dark appearing. then the rest were forged by the Sword of Logos itself. with Rekka being special because it was the first forged sword. So no, the rest of the swords did not exist yet, until the book was already shattered.

I feel like u didn't actually fully understand the story plot.......whats with the whole revenge thing u keep saying about caliber.........when the whole show has nothing to do with revenge against the sword of logos 😕 🤔 😐 😒 also Cailber is a dude not a woman........the whole plot story was to find out who was the traitor in the sword of logos is
