Paul, it’s only fair that you do a salt water pond since you’ve got a massive fresh water pond already ;) in all seriousness it’s up to you man! I personally would love to see a huge reef pond it would looks beautiful once it’s established! But at the end of the day man I’m gonna watch whatever you do! I just love the content and the animals! I still miss Gary and wish we got an update on him but I think the community already knows unfortunately :(

Isn’t staining the wood a risk? Normally some will vaporize and end up in the water, might kill the fish.

Since the second I saw the deck and dock I wanted you to make it darker, a more dark brown colour. It really gives the proper amazon look and itll look wayyyyyy better. The turtle pond can remain that color
Honestly from a tradesperson I'd leave all the wood as natural as possible but would use a very light or clear stain to prevent water damage and to make the wood last longer. Just remember to thoroughly clean the decks twice a year with TSP (or a similar product) to stop mold and re-stain every 3-5 years depending on wear. Looks amazing! Great job Hector.

i have a suggestion for your pond
painting the outside fish pond blue colour is not a good idea
because the well water colour is not that well and if you order the water from outside the water will be evaporated easily, so my suggestion instead of changing the liner colour put some albino or some light colour in there it would be awsome to watch.

Merry Christmas everyone! Was -39°c here in alberta, Canada. We had crazy cold weather for 4-5 days and now it's a balmy +7°c. Congrats for all the hard work you've put into PC farm 2.0. Looks amazing. Hope 2023 goes just as well or better.

How are you doing Paul, other than freezing your little toot toot off. I could tell it must be freezing cold down there because of course I saw you were wearing a hoodie “PC “no less. Is there any other? At any rate then when you told me what Siri told you the weather was well you did literally get me to chuckle as we were faced with -17 the other day when I went to my daughters for Christmas. But no shame we all have to make adjustments where we live and I know you’ll make it through this so will I. Just please, and I know you’ll do this, continue taking great care of your animals and your self and most importantly stay healthy.
As for Hector, have you noticed how frisky he’s getting with the camera? I love the relationship that has grown between the two of you. Of course you’ve spent a great deal of time together over the last couple years yet she has a wonderful relationship tha t you have formed and an absolutely gorgeous setting the two of you are creating for the farm. I just love what you guys are getting done. As for the decking the platform I think burning it would look absolutely gorgeous but for the full aesthetics that you’re looking for I don’t know that I am qualified to answer this one for you. Again I know you’ll make the right decision. Equate forward to seeing you and the completion of your farm and your aquarium house but I’m telling you what I don’t know that he’ll ever be completed with the project because as soon as you start disliking the way something like she’ll just start re-creating it all over again so I’m excited to sit in my recliner and watch you daily and enjoy your daily and I appreciate everything you do for us. Thanks for keeping me such great company Paul I’m pretty sure I’ve told you before you make this old mama who doesn’t have too much she can do anymore have a great time watching you and I must say Brenton In addition with you allow that do I just can’t be matched… That boy is one of a kind. I think the Amazon would pop more with the burned deck and clear stain to make it shine and the turtle deck should be a light stain but either way what you come up with will be great like all the projects you have done keep up the great work

YOU NEED TO GET A DEHUMIDIFIER IN THE FISH BUILDING TO GET RID OF ALL THAT CONDISATION AND TO KEEP THE MOLD OUT OF IT!! Wipe down the walls to get them dried off...
Paul here's an idea. Why don't you wire up a switch for when you walk in it turns on ALL the lights in the fish building. I have this with a fan and a light in my room. I walk up and press a button and it all turns on. You could easily buy this with extension cord to turn all the lights on for all the tanks as soon as you walk in.
41 is perfect for this time of year. It means all the snow has melted and most outdoor seating is ready for anyone who is bundled up enough
You should totally do a salt water Corner. It would be so cool and because you already have a large fresh water pond. That can hold so many more fish to come.

Please do burned wood, it would look really great in the corners especially in the tropical corner! And do a salt water pond! Salt water ponds look so amazing and there are so special fishes! Also the salt water pond could perfectly blend in with the theme of the fish building :)

With the inside deck I recommend not torching it since it's pressure treated wood, and the fumes might be less than beneficial to your fish. So it looks like stained or as-is.
Put clear sides round the pond Lilly pads in and move Cornelius ❤you and the vids hope you are well and had a good Christmas
Use a danish oil on the decks to help with the waterproofing... would make a huge difference!

I think staining the deck darker would make them perfect, something along the line of looking like mahogany or teak wood, fitting a south American theme.
For the Amazon corner you should paint it some reddish brown and add vines around the staircase with like fake wild flowers
