- You don’t need expensive inks and dyes to print on fabric.
In this video I'm printing on a silk charmeuse scarf with colored tissue paper.
3 levels of difficulty - choose which suits you best.
This technique can be used on any natural fiber (cellulose as in cotton, protein as in silk, etc.) with a flat surface.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Colored tissue paper - I purchased mine from dollar tree (not all tissue paper will bleed , so test it before you begin)

SILK CHARMEUSE SCARF (or other fabrics):
1) amzn.to/3C2M9j0 (I used this in the video- SOLD BY THE 1 YARD so the edges are not finished)
2) Set of 2 white Pongee 5 long silk scarf: amzn.to/3o3h7QN (this is not charmeuse, but I've used it before and the price is reasonable)

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand wash with a mild detergent, dry away from sunlight and heat, iron on wrong side using the silk setting.

I wanted pastel tones so I used plain water - I still haven’t had the chance to experiment with 1:1 ratio vinegar & water to see if the colors would be brighter / deeper - if not brighter, the vinegar will def act as a fixative for further setting the colors to the fabric. Wonderful...easy and impressive...for how long they will stay on the fabric? And question 2 can we use this technique for business, I for small business?
Adila Riasat - it will last as long as any other print if you allow the scarf to dry completely before setting the print with iron and follow the care instructions in the description box. An indication of this is that there was no bleeding of the colors during washing. Yes, it can be used for business, but always do a test sample before doing bulk. Thanks for watching!💚

Epic fail on my part. I cut out handprints and used spectra bleeding tissue and it bleeds so bad you can’t even tell what the image cut out was.
