Tear-jerking Try to find happiness in everyday. At least once, smile to each other everyday. And say just one extra time that you love the person who lives with you. Just say, "I love you."
I watched this tribute when it originally aired and it moves me still. Theirs was a TRUE LOVE STORY until the end. For people to think that Katia was commercializing or exploiting their story, is truly sad. Just see it for what it was meant to be "A tribute for Serghei's life".I believe that this tribute came form the heart of all those who took part in it.The two will ALWAYS REMAIN POETRY IN MOTION. Mihaela
I want to say that this is a very emotional and sad video and skating is my passion. Gordeeva and Grinkov were and still are my favorite skaters of all time and they are a legend in figure skating. Everytime i watch this video, i cry and cry again. It is so sad!!!
The very definition of heartbreaking. But Katia has been very brave and moved on. I will never forget being at work and hearing on NPR that Sergei had just died. I was just stunned, as was everyone else who loves skating. They were truly beautiful together.
I was when I found out. I was at SkyRink practicing and they announced it. I was in shock. I couldn't move. Seeing this again was wonderful. It reminded me of just how poignant this occasion was, and how important it is to not forget.
Sehr berührend die Bilder. Das war eine innige und grosse Liebe und ein sehr begabtes Eistanzpaar💐Der frühe Tod von Sergei hat uns alle sehr erschüttert.
The description says "Tear-jerking". Except that if you can't hear her speech, it's not tear jerking at all. Just one more fine example of someone overlaying music onto a perfectly good video, and thereby totally ruining it.

I still can't watch this all the way through. I saw it twice and back in 1996 and it was hard then and it's hard now. Such a tragedy.

"I skated today not alone, I skate with Sergei, it wasn't me."
I love her SO much.
Ja das spürt man buchstäblich, dass Sergei geistig dabei war. Schönes und trauriges Video, danke🌺

this was a way for her to heal and she needed it. all the money went to daria for her future. I was not ugly and it is a shame you think so.
Thankyou!

Really, how do you figure that?
Would have been nice to hear the words.
PLEASE get the speech, NOT the music!
What good is the speech if you can't hear it? Unbelievable
Less music, more speech.
@sanoma40 Sergei had a massive heart attack. He was 28 :(
not good without the actual speech!
uh, what's up with this music?!
Thought exactly
Where can I find the speech?
