As far as I can recall none of the Exia molds ever came with the beam daggers. They first showed up in Gundam Age with the Age-1 normal, the original exia HG didn't even come with beams, it had an all white beam saber stick.
The portent looks like an alien gundam (in a good way). It's so different than other gundams. I like the slick design, so feminine. Compare this to the strike or the RX-78-2 or the zakus, the portent's design is in a class of its own. Pure.
This is... Exia custom with new joints! Wtf Bandai, they remake all of the joints for this customize ver of Exia, but not the original Exia Kill me pls P/s: I'm an Exia fan
I just finished building it and my main issue was actually with its limbs being loose. The legs and arms both were prone to coming out of socket. The only other part that had this issue was one of the arm wings. Otherwise It assembled very quickly and was a lot of fun The weapons, stand, and poses are really versatile and it now takes one of the more dynamic positions in my collection.
***** only disappointment that I had with the rg exia was the leg movement forwards. I always end up slightly disappointed with exia's lack of leg movement.
when i did the matte spray i took out the clear parts and when i was done i put them back in for a more lightly look illuminated almost it does look awesome with a led light next or under it it gives an amazing look
This is better than I thought it wouldve been. It has the joints and articulation that I was hoping the Exia Amazing was gonna have. Ive seen the next hgbf Im interested in...hope its better than its rival. But Im waiting for the RG 00 Raiser to hit the stores.

I was very disappointed with the coloring of the plastic, especially when compared to the true to anime colors. Also I feel that the recommendation for the replacement for the chrome stickers that sit under the clear green pieces is almost a necessity for a more interesting display. Adding paint and lines simply does Portent no good, she needs deeper color if only a little. As well as tinted, not black, panel lines. Also, the Portent flyer is a welcomed addition to the Portent over all.
***** Yup, me. So what I decided to do i I cut off some of the numbered tabs from a runner I have because it has spare parts. The numbers are the thinnest and smallest pieces left. I took those and glued them over the open side on the wings. When I did, I was careful to use my plastic cement only on the middle of the pegs to which the wings attach. When the cement had finished curing, this allows them to still move, while the glued tabs keep the wings from falling off. So there ya go: a working solution to G-Portent's arm wings.
Mecha Gaikotsu pointed out a lot of problems with loose connections in his review, mainly with the shoulder connection to both the torso and biceps. Did you experience this problem, and, if so, is thickening the joints simple?
***** Generally speaking, no. I mean, if you use enough force then obviously they'll pop out. However, I do topcoat all my kits so I don't really experience the loose joints issue all that often.
It is a great kit by any means. The design, however, is a bit odd to me. By the way, you might want to try the Mack Knife. I would say it's one of the best model kit HGRG line has to offer.
When I built Destiny, whenever I moved its limbs it would fall apart almost as if it was as fragile as dust! When u move its arms it looks like it's glued on ! Any ideas?
What I don't get, is that if the G-Portent and Transient have GN drives, why did they never use trans-am? It could've given them a temporary advantage against Team Try Fighters.
D Beat The Transient actually has an equivalent to Trans-am. It's called Transient Burst - basically does the same thing as Trans-am but it doesn't have the time limit.
When you say seam line coverage, what do you generally do? Have looked at some CZcams tutorials but they all require superglue, putty and 24 hrs of waiting.. Is there an easier/faster way or is that it?
I can't answer for Type V3's tricks, but for myself, I use Tamiya Cement. It's basically a chemical that melts the plastic to "glue" two pieces together like soldering them. You need to clean it up with a knife and sandpaper after it cures overnight. It doesn't go faster, but you don't "need" putty if the circumstances are good since the soldering would not leave a gap between parts. In addition, for white parts, if you plan to top coat, you don't need to paint it up. Paint is still required for any other color. I'm not personally aware of a faster way to do it. If someone does, please say so, because I'm interested too :)
lukeiamyourdad yeah I was thinking cement. I'm just impatient haha. Building the Beargguy San and the seams on the torso are so noticeable! Sanded down the inside framing a bit which was a slight improvement but it's still not quite flush :/

Dude oo raiser and oo qant got twin gn drives and it makes them teleport but if there are 3 gn drive in a gundam dude I don't know what it could possibly do
I actually think the G Portent looks really awkward. I don't like how the wings are located on the arms and legs, and the compartment for the repair bots on the rear skirts looks too chunky and square. The rifle is giant and equally large, and reminds me of a box with a tube sticking out of it. I'm not going to buy this kit, but I think the Transient Gundam and Gundam The End are unique designs. I'm definitely going to get Gundam The End because of its special features and the design.
i think people panel line way to much on some gunpla. in some places it looks perfect, such as the face plate, as it adds a shadow effect where there should be. other times, it just looks like you put marker on it when it didn't need to be touched.
Hi Type V3, just 2 things you should consider. Firstly, the mini-repair-bots are too small for them to make, or for us to build. Those are just to small, and we don't really need it anyway. Secondly, this G-Portent seems to be build for girls, by the look of it. So it means this gundam lacks the coolness that the other gundams normally have. Consider this tobe build for girls, of cause we guys wouldn't be front of it. With that said, when I saw your review, I immdiately think that I'll get this kit for my girlfriend.
Kenny Dang Never meant that the karels needed to be build, just included - like they did with the army men in the GM Sniper K9. For "girls?" That shouldn't even be a thing. Anyone can like anything.

I can't seem to get a bicep swivel, there is a tab that connects to the bicep armor that prevents for under the shoulder guard. Am I doing something wrong?
I wont lie, I have been looking for a feminine looking Gundam. But the Nobel to me is just too.. cheesy. I do like the look of this one. I wont lie, I was also even more sold from the beam sabers.

can you apply the clear coat without removing/covering the clear pieces?
You just have to cover it with maskinh tape
