- My dog and I encounter a Bull Moose in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area on a 10 day solo trip. Monty, my dog, did very well at keeping quiet but was jumping for joy and doing circles in the back of my canoe.

Wow! Ran across a moose one day, while picking huckleberries in Montana. They suprise you sometimes like that, way out in the boonies. Great video!
Ive been following you for a while. I commend you for your wholesome entertainmennt value. I am a proud great grandmother. I wouldn't hesitate showing your videos to my great grandson. I am a big fan of Monty's, by the way. Of yours too, but Monty is the greatest. I too am a fan of hiking and camping . I do camp when ever I have some time. Would rather camp in the wilderness than go to a hotel for vacations. Good stuff.......

what a moment! I have seen a couple moose up in the BWCA as well, but never a bull. A lot of people don't quite get how big they are. I stumbled across one in the woods up there and was about 20 ft from it (luckily it didn't charge me), but man was it huge. I sure hope the population can stay steady so generations of Minnesotans after us can still enjoy them! Nice Video, thanks for sharing!
It really was great! They are huge! If you ever want to see a bull moose, spend some time on Isle Royale. You would be very unlucky to not see a bull if you go in the right areas, they are everywhere! I did have a very sketchy moment on Isle Royale with a moose but that is a story that will be told at a later time! Since you can't hunt Moose in Minnesota for now I think it sure will! No problem!

Great encounter. I've been to the BWCAW twice and have yet to see a moose (just droppings), but I did come upon a lynx on a portage, that was something I'll never forget.
It was really epic! I have been blessed with moose. I have seen them on every trip except for one. That is pretty sweet! Did it take off instantly or let you get some brain record time?

Nice ! The only Moose I have ever seen was either dead (hunted) or one a VERY long way away in Idaho. When we did the Whites (NH) we even went off trail several times purposely to try and see a Moose , NO luck . Lucky you for your two encounters !!!

He was literally doing circles and stomping his feet in excitement hahahahaha. This was the 2nd moose of this trip and the first moose he saw went a little bit differently...

When u are in the mall or supermarket make some moose sounds and some loom sounds, then keep a straight face, so ppl do not know where it is comming from.. its hillarious i already tried it a couple of times.

What lake?? We go almost every year and I really want to see a moose one these times. I go to basic training this summer so hopefully I’ll have time to make the trip
I want to say this was Vee or Fee lake. I can't remember offhand but I will look at a map later and double check. In part 3 of my "10 Days (Almost) Alone in the Wilderness" I start at this lake. I know I mention it in that video.
I can't remember which one exactly. But definitely Vee or Fee lake. I think traveling the Louse River will give you a very good opportunity to see a moose. That's where I saw 1/2 bull moose this recent trip.

It wasn't too smart to make moose noises what if that moose charged you in the bowl of Monte then what are you going to do and you don't got a gun or anything you know what I'm saying I wouldn't want something to happen to you guys
