Perfecto De Castro interviews Maestro Jose Valdez, the Philippines' foremost guitar educator, arranger and transcriber. Maestro Valdez discusses his beginnings, his use of the 10 string guitar and the state of the guitar in the Philippines.
The interview was held on January 30, 2010 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines during the 1st Philippine International Guitar Festival.

It's such a treat to watch Maestro Jose Valdez to be interviewed by my Guitar Idol. I have one of his classical guitar music books, I'll still have learn to use that with the help of my Canadian guitar teacher. I'm trying to learn to play flat top steel string.
