The original author, Akasa-sensei, has experienced having Kaguya-sama turned into a terrible live-action adaptation. By the way, I heard that the double tooth brushing is something Akasa-sensei is actually doing.
The protagonist and main heroine of ``Aqua'' are Kana and Akane, and this story is established.
Ruby, the main character of the story, hardly appears in the original work. Although the opening and ending have been changed from the original, the original story was about Ruby following in her mother's footsteps and forming an idol group. But she was given little screen time. In the final episode of the first season, the idol at the beginning was supposed to be moved by Ruby's performance, but it was cut from the anime.
The ending lyrics are about wanting to follow in her mother's footsteps and become an idol, but I don't think viewers will understand that. The original author doesn't love Ruby.

Netflix and The studio making OPLA literally told publicly that the show won't come out until ODA , the CREATOR is satisfied with it .
Oda sensei himself was overseeing the scripts and major stuff and acted as a Executive Producer as well.
There were a good amount of scenes from OPLA S1 which were reshoot cuz he wasn't satisfied.
He had the full creative control over his magnum opus which was the main reason the series is getting a S2 on Netflix and got insane commercial success with amazing ratings.
So spew ur bullshi elsewhere that he was so called disappointed with it 🤓
