It's a shame not everyone appreciates the beauty of videos like this. The camera angles, the sound of what is happening in each clip it's truly just a raw video of life. It provides a sort of comfort. This is really good and I'm excited to watch more videos 🤭
Gorgeous work. Those two accounts have introduced me to so many incredible movies. These scenes you captured look like they’re pulled straight out of the films they showcase. Excellent work!
I must be the only one realising this common type of angle in Asian films. The very far flat angle of an object with the lack of background music but only the natural ambience
Have you seen Yi Yi A One and a Two (Edward Wang)? You might be interested in his filming/framing...from 2000. Also, Yasijuro Ozu's Floating Weeds from 1959 is inspired.
normally i think all camera brands have near the same video look once you reach a certain price point . This camera stands out so much more differently from your regular Sony , canon. or fuji camera . Beautiful work
Great stuff! Would you be able to talk a bit about your sound design on the channel? It sounds like you're capturing a lot of this sound in real-time, but I'm very curious how..
Thank you so much! I had a shotgun microphone so I recorded majority of the audio when shooting the clips but I also added a lot of background SFX in post as well
Thank you! Yes I shot this in V-Log, which gave me a lot of flexibility to color grade this in Final Cut Pro, I just went for a more natural look and not push colors too much
Great video! I have some feedback tho. I think it would be better if you had some of the sounds as a J-Cut, which would make all the scenes flow together.
Thank you! Your point is very valid, tbh I originally filmed/edited individually these videos to be posted on instagram as a slideshow/carousel and just posted them to CZcams later. Appreciate the feedback regardless and I’ll keep that in mind for next videos!
Thank you! Tbh I’m not the most knowledgeable about color grading I just tried to get the colors right/natural in camera while shooting as much as possible + basic color correction
That’s an interesting take! I actually shot these using 1970s Vintage Minolta lenses to go for a more analog look ironically enough haha. I do gravitate towards wide landscapes with a dreamy/glowy look and vibe, which I think a lot of AI art tends to be but thanks for the feedback regardless!
It might get overlooked but great sound design!
Beautiful colors and composition!❤ Another asian style lover here hah!🙃
Thank you! 😊

Just wanted to let you know that these shots have heavily blessed my day. Now I have more reasons to live.
Thank you! This comment made my day
the shot of the two people sitting looking out the window is amazingg, exactly how that shot should have been
Thank you! It's also one of my favorite shots too :)
The third shot with a couple singing felt like an Edward Yang film! Beautifully framing btw ❤🙏
Thank you! I'll need to check out his movies adding to my list!
This is amazinggggg, I loved every single shot's composition. You nailed the Asian style, definitely saving this for reference and ideas!
Thank you so much! It’s a honor

I haven't watched Edward Yang's work but I will definitely check it out now! Trying to emulate the look of films in that style :)
WOW this is incredibly well shot and color graded!!
Thank you so much!!

This lens distortion is hot. What lenses did you use?
Minolta Rokkor Vintage lenses (45mm, 58mm, and 85mm)
Oh my god this is actually ethereal. There's a whole genre of films like this out there??
Thank you! Yes I feel like a lot of movies made in Asia have this kind of aesthetic, the movie “Burning” is a good example!
Yes there is! Even asian silent vlogs also use the style 😊
beautiful
4:3 is just goat Aspect Ratio
I did shoot and edit this in 3:2 aspect ratio bc of my camera lol but I agree!
Got some Ozu, Yang, and Kore-eda vibes.
I love everything here, the colors, the landscapes omg im in love with this video.
Great shots btw ❤
Thank you so much! ❤
Great stuff! Would you be able to talk a bit about your sound design on the channel? It sounds like you're capturing a lot of this sound in real-time, but I'm very curious how..
Thank you! I mostly used my on camera shotgun mic to capture audio but also mixed in sound effects for the scenes during editing as well

Thank you! Tbh I’m not the most knowledgeable about color grading I just tried to get the colors right/natural in camera while shooting as much as possible + basic color correction
Is this cineprint grade
Nope, I color graded this in Final Cut Pro! I also used Film Convert to add a little bit of color and film grain too
Is it 4:3 ratio?
Nope, I shot this in 3:2 Aspect Ratio!

Thank you! I shot this with a Panasonic S5ii camera and Minolta vintage lenses
@@pykfilm thank you!
All this in 55 seconds proves movies don't have to be so long.
Thank you! I appreciate this comment a lot :)
I don’t know what it is but something about these shots feels AI to me. It is not meant as an insult. I don’t even know what it is.
