Cuban always with the "good job guys" at the end of every pitch like its a high school presentation
😂😂😂
You obviously didn't watch the frsh episode
To be fair it prob took a lot of attempts and piecing it together by the editor lol
😅😅😂
LOL
Can’t believe how addictive this show can be! Thanks for the frequent upload!
*Ikr lol I got that addiction months ago.......... Still watching*
exactly what i thought
This the best business school/entrepreneurial education, in a fun and engaging environment.
You learn so much from this show and it’s so interesting with all these business idea’s that people come up with
@@Rome6601 been years bruh
Daymond was the right partner for this one. They blew it.
True lol
exactly what i thought
Why, due to the fashion background? He’s done deals on shark tank in that industry that we’re not major successes. The sharks portrayed their segment as niche but it is not. If that patent comes through, they made the right decision.
They ain wanna work with a black man
Almost makes you wonder if they even wanted a deal or just the publicity..
I’ve seen a lot of offers missed over “penny pinching” over small percentages willing to give up. The sharks absolutely hate it when u try to offer 1-4% less
It can be a lot of money if the business is a success
That's a lot between 3 people. I thought they were generous for going to 25
It’s not penny pinching when they come in at 10% and are offered a deal for 28%.
The sharks love to call it penny pinching to undermine the difference but when you look at it as a whole, its not penny pinching.
I mean they go there bc they need help. So you gotta pay to be successful.
@@UrGarbage10 or they went there for free advertising.
6:04 kevin is fing hilarious
Laughed so hard
“For that reason, we were out” lol great way to end it. Give the sharks some of their own medicine
You can go home with your pride in your back pocket that you gave a shark a "taste of their own medicine". But lets not forget who are already the self made successful millionaires and who aren't. The sharks not making a deal is not the bitter taste of medicine. They know their are hundreds more entrepreneurs eagerly seeking to make a deal with them and many that will actually bring them bigger profit worth their time. To be a shark you have to think like a business and not a charity. To think the sharks are even remotely bothered because they skipped this particular deal is laughable. Come back to reality. They live the life already that every entrepreneur that goes on their show wants.
@@NoodleBoy101 you're acting like these guys won't make it too. They got a phenomenal product + a potential patent. They will be millionaires themselves in no time. Lol
@@s_ame1135 No where in my comment did I state that or insinuate that. You missed the point entirely.
Lol they did not even say it to the sharks themselves
@@Shot007 😁
I always think quality will go down dramatically if they get a shark because they always get things made the cheapest, cheap, cheap way possible.
I mean if Robert was going to nickel and dime them, imagine what the partnership would be like. Good job saying no.
That was a reasonable offer
@@Xsidaable he completely undermined them. They dodged a bullet.
I agree.
It may have been a reasonable offer but for the sake of "Meeting in the middle" just to get extra equity, you start wondering if they actually believe in you and your company
Good point
Regardless of their decision, their branding is beautiful!
How they would go up to 25 percent for Robert but not be willing to go to 20 percent for Daymond is beyond me. Should’ve picked daymond.
They don't like bald heads.
Robert was offering more money.
@@1violalass Its not just about the money though, all sharks have connections and expertise.Pretty dumb of them to walk away IF they were looking for a deal
math checks out
They didnt see the value, they just saw the money to which the sharks is pocket change. Big mistake.
28% to scale and accelerate is important like Robert mentioned. He was speaking from experience. Robert's deal was great. Daymond's deal was perfect if they really cared about the equity.
prolly since they had to hear ab wha robert had to say ab goin faster so they was gettin a lil picky wit da money part then
As a surfer living in nz this is next level and for other watersports ie. Water skiing, river rides, wind surfing, diving even just fishing on a boat out sea huge in my eyes I hope they carried on!!
SUP guy here and I agree...I want em.
they're worth 130 million now
@@buildwithcode9743 lying
I think it's dumb just wearing wetsuit shorts is much better and they look fine
As a guy who regular gets chafed and bleed, this is game changing. I might buy a pair just to wear around the house. The great thing about it is it’s water resistant so no sweat will soak in, no hairs will get caught in it so you never have to wash them. You could probably wear it without underwear as well so that’s massive savings in underwear and detergent.
Barbara called the guys while she was on vacation on a beach getting a tan just to say “for that reason I’m out”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey Double V - your Barbara joke is NOT funny ! More a Blatant Lie!
@Double V - re: "Barbara" = 1. your Barbara joke is NOT funny. 2. Barbara did not call the guys, either. 3. any other "fibs" ??
Barbara: "I like seeing men in wet suits, and this goes against that and for that reason, I'm out."
No shark tank video is complete without a Barbara joke.
Hahahahah
“I like my men pantless out in the waters, so for that reason, I’m out.” - Barbara

@vivs - your Barbara joke is NOT funny!
I always wait to see what positive message Marc has at the end. Always love his positivity.
I would only choose these over any regular swim trunks. Great idea and such a perfect duo to get this going!
This product is seriously SO cool. Way to go guys so many surfers will benefit from these shorts- I can’t totally see parents of surfers getting them for Christmas and birthday presents!
@shirley cruz - you "can't totally see parents....." Did you mean, "I Can...."
The amount of times they said actually is actually astonishing
Actually, you’re right!
Actually I don't think so...much better than "like" ..."like"....some teens drive me up the wall with that.
@Blank Blank - re: "actually" = 1. are the guys not "actual" all the time? 2. or only when using that wimp word "actually?"
It's definitely one of those products where I'm like " why didn't I think of that??'
@Jon Reeder - can you express self without the "I'm like" routine?
All swimming suits in south Korea are like this, nothing new
As a surfer, chafing sucks!! I’ve fixed it by putting Vaseline on the spots I usually chafe before surfing and I’ve spent 2-3 hours in the water without chafing. This works for just a day at the beach also 🤙🏾
They should have take Roberts offer at 28%.
He would have blown that product up in no time!
Robert is the worst shark. He rarely makes a deal and when he does, most of them aren't closed. He's also infamous for trying to change the deal afterwards.
Sorry but I don’t like how he takes an unfair advantage of everyone else being out. Asking for a third of the company brings the valuation so low. Their offer of 25% was a good deal and even some other shark mentioned that. Another thing I hated was when he said ‘if you can do 25 you can do 28’. Why doesn’t it apply for him then! Glad they rejected his offer.
@@tejask4889 Okay, that's fine but now it will take ten years longer to achieve anything!
@@tejask4889 doesn’t apply to him
because he has leverage. The likelihood of their company changing Robert’s life is quite small to say the least.
28 percent to work with him...I wouldve done it.
Brah they blew it. They’ll have 100% of a grape
Yeah😂
It'll be THEIR grape 🍇 though
That means something too
Not neccesarily. 100K isn't gonna add much to make a difference. The exposure on Shark Tank will drive more sales.
@@kusayfarhan9943 not if you can't fill the orders
@@jonnie5bgood583 better to get a short term loan to fulfill orders than it is to give a third of your business for 100k
Honest , on point , proper valuation, good product , good price and realistic ..this guys hit every point
Except they missed out on 2 great deals and are still 100% owners of a tiny grape
@@husseinbayoun99 nah. Bad deals, everyone will see the show. Sales will go up and investors will call with way better deals.
Just like with Ring. If the product is good you don't need the sharks.
@@mrhumble2937 exactly, they just got huge exposure here , now they have a whole new opportunities of marketing their products and getting investors.. 28% for getting mark and robert would have been a blast though
They went out over 3%…..Ding dongs.
They're company
They went out at 28%. Saying it’s 3% is reductionist and that’s why the sharks say that to squeeze people into deals.
"So, basically it's a wetsuit married to board shorts"
Yes, Robert, so astute, it's almost like that's exactly what they'd already said...
@Patrick Lindley - re: "like" = there's that "like" word again. i.e. "it's almost exactly what they'd already said..." (without that "like" jargon)
Honestly the inventors blew this deal. They are a clothing company with one product geared towards very specific population and their sales are not the greatest. They even discussed some barriers in their business that the Sharks could obviously flip around and accelerate. The inventors severely undervalued the Sharks influence on their product. I understand the offers were a bit sharky, but if they were serious about the product being mainstreamed and making money, they would have negotiated better.
True!
Daymond was the right partner for them!
Agree! Having a famous Shark aboard to help with the business, would be a game changer for the business and entrepreneurs.
Had Barbara been there: "I don't like water, I am out!"
Beyond the money Daymond's knowledge alone was another form of currency.
Dumbells. Damian was trying to save them from eaten alive by Robert and they had to pride it off!!
Good for them, hope it works out
Too addicting love this show
I want a pair of these shorts and I don’t even surf 😂
I want a pair and I don’t even know how to swim !
I had board shorts like this 7 years ago!
"For that reason we were out" what a DON move. Good job guys!
They invest thousands in bs literally doodling companies in a heart beat but when legit companies come they are like "uhhhh we need 1/3 of your company for 10 cents".
I’ve realized that and I don’t understand it.. like what
This company is a couple million dollar business they are looking for those colossal companies for them where they can make a butt load
It's about the amount of work and money needed, imagine who's your competition and what budgets they have, it's really hard in fields like clothing, food, etc
The Draw You A Cat guy wanted $25k for 33% which Mark knew he could make back in a week due to meme-ry. Two sharks were in fact willing to invest thousands of dollars here as you said but they weren't willing to give up as much as the Cat Artist. We'll see how they do 🤷♂️
Also you have to remember that the "companies" (aka cat drawer) came on the show literally YEARS ago. So times have changed now they've seen 100's of porches at this point and they've assisted their mindset to the new "standard"
Water sports are one of the only sports in the world that people purchase excessive amounts of gear for. Most people I know (including myself) owns a dozen pairs of different board shorts, with tendencies to buy at least a couple of pairs a year. My family alone has atleast 8 to 10 people in it who buy any where between 2 to 5 pairs of board shorts a year (not including gift giving board shorts). Of those 8 to 10 people atleast 6 of them are male who do a LOT of water sports from body boarding right through to surfing and more. Every single one of them would LOVE this. Provided there were multiple design types they'd probably buy these more regularly (specially if they're in their size).
They blew it big time. Daymond was perfect
Surprised they didn't jump at that last compromise from Robert...I think they made a mistake not being with him.
No they’re not indecisive it’s just that your moneys worth half of what everybody else can offer
Lmao. Everybody else, eg yourself?
YES I love that they stuck with it. 25% was reasonable from the jump.
Kevin's ouch always gets me
“I’m chaffing” 😂
I respected their self-confidence
I’m surprised none of them mentioned licensing the patent (if received)
*Barbara emerges from the corner* :
"I know I'm not part of this episode, but I just wanted to come in and say I'm out."
@bpomber - your Barbara joke is NOT funny, either! Ehhh?
@bpomber - ohhhhh .... you are SOOOOO funny !!! (Not!)
This is a great idea. Just so easy to copy
To turn down Daymond's offer when it was a lifeline from the greedy offers of Robert is crazy.
He initially said that he's out because he thinks he wouldn't be suitable for their business; it wasn't going to be easy for him to come back after such a statement, and the guys weren't unreasonable in rejecting him.
I truly believe if Daymond came in with 150k at 20% it would have been a deal
I like it but how practical is it? As a surfer, if it's warm I'm in trunks, if it's a bit cool or windy, I'm paddling out in a short john (short legs/sleeves). I'd give them a try though.
I'm already very comfortable with watersports thank you.
My favorite show !!
I was sold within the first 10 seconds of the video
it doesnt matter bc with the exposure, their business will grow tenfold
The sharks were greedy on this one. 125k in sales the year prior, patent pending, break even company, tons of orders on the way. Their valuation was spot on, mark my words it's gonna be a high 8 or 9 figure business.
1m evaluation with sales dropping as of May
@@SireneKalypsoAs of recent update the sales are still dropping.
Good for them. Sticking to their gunz. Yah.
I think they made the right choice. And hell, I'm gonna buy a few pair of their shorts.
Obviously the main use for these shorts is in water sports, but I don't understand why the Sharks didn't see the potential to market these two a casual, beach/pool-going audience. They're stylish and more comfortable than regular beach shorts? I'm in.
Immersion Research did this MANY years ago.
Yaaay a new video!
🎵we are watching shark tank,🎵
We are watching shark tank,🎵
I am watching shark tank,🎵
How about YOU?!🤣
We do not know the details of who else is invested in that company so we do not know how much room they had in negotiation. I thought Robert negotiated in good faith and coming down from 33% to 28% seemed like a good offer for $150K. He would have been a good help to them.
I think marketing only to water sports people is stupid. Good comfortable clothing can appeal to a wider audience. I'm not a water sports person but I might be interested in those shorts for working out and playing with my dog outside.
I can hear Barbara mentioning all that water from storms coming ashore and for that reason...she's out.
they blew this
Wow!!!! I don’t even want to say what I’m thinking
I get the same effect with sport boxer briefs and board shorts for ALOT cheaper
Actually, I wish people would stop saying Actually in every sentence.
Who said Actually
@@harryluteshi7487 both of the entrepreneurs, actually.
Actually, I literally hate the words Literally and actually.
smart idea.
I laughed every time they said "watersports." That term means something different in the internet age.
I think they missed it! They could sell to Hurley, Billabong, roxy, quicksilver! Any of those.
I would also buy this for kids! They always get “rash” down under.
The missed a big wave 🌊 on this one.
Great business decision, all money Ain good money
We're not ready to give that much, for that reason we're out.
I think Daymond has sports related company named fu-bu they must have taken his offer and collaborated with him...😎
scrolled down to the comments only to see they blew it lol. so much for having a shark :|
For that reason we are out! Remember those exact lines. That's how you do it. It's fine to grow slowly than to give all your hardwork.
I pushed the ‘like’ button on this one! Hehe
Love that!
The drifted you a line
AND YOU DIDN’T TAKE IT!
They blew it
I've experienced the chaffing first hand at the beach before... But $90 is pretty steep for swim trunks, baby powder is like $5 😉
It has to sell for 48. Max people will pay
Its not steep at all, 90 dollars is manageable to buy in USA and remembr right now it cost 33 to make, 3x profit is not unreasonable at all.
Baby powder may cause cancer dude.
@@cnam1258 yea, if u use a plethora of it daily... I'm saying a cpl days while you're at the beach , that's not gonna cause cancer
Sometimes people need to understand what the value the sharks bring, it’s worst the extra premium.
"worth the extra premium?"
“I’m blown away when I see guys wearing our shorts and they’re not friends or family,” Horbatuck said. “It’s still cool, I have to pinch myself.”
They seem like super chill dudes. Good for them sticking to their guns! I think it'll pay them well
They made a HUGE mistake with Daymond's offer.
Equity isn't worth anything if they company doesn't stay in business. I would've liked them to take something. But damn. They walked away from it. I respect them. :D
hey sharks
Barbara:and for that reason i'm out.
I hate when they give the outcome in the description. I like to be surprised if they get a deal or not.
you don't ask "would you go down" you say, "We are giving you a counter - offer of ______________!"
they blew it
Update: theyve gotten the patent and are still in business, theres nothing particularly out hinting towards their sales, but since they are still selling their stuff and due to the shark tank effect, they most likely are doing fine - also apparently athletes bought and marketed their products by tryin em out
Barbara: I don't like the product, and for that reason, I'm out.
I know they're only focused on mens wear rn, but id love some options for women as well in the future! Its exactly what they said where it would be nice to have a bathing suit with neoprene rather than having to wear my full wetsuit on the days where its chilly but not cold.
It was a perfect idea. Kudos to the guys. However, focusing on this product alone might be dangerous. I love Mark Cuban. He hit the nail on the head.
This is great
I work for Board riders which owns lots of surf and skate brands, you could probably sell the brand to them and become millionaires
Take Daymond's deal! C'monnn
ah come on Robert. passing a deal on 3% difference? counter offer them less money for the 25%
Honestly if I were ever on this show and Mark and Lori were out, I’d be out too lol
I was bored sitting at home on my lazy couch and desperately needed exercise. So for that reason "I'm out" 🏃
Brutal
"I guess you are indecisive, so I'm out again".. but... isn't it you who is indecisive then... the irony.
