Hey we are developing something similar for my college project but we want to detect calyx of a chilli can you please guide what method should i be using??
Is the laptop has to always ON ? .. can't we just upload the code like we upload to arduino and let the arduino and etc works without keep laptop/Computer ON ?
Thanks for the comment. The job is done with Raspberry Pi, the computer is used just to show to the user the object detection. We can turn the computer off and use a small LCD screen for the Raspberry pi instead.

Yes, but they added a rasberry PI and two servo motors working together in real time.

It's a servo motor for the two barriers.
This system cannot work if the objects passing are denser. except when using a straight piston to push the object.

Rasberry PI for object classification and counting, and arduino to cotrol the two barriers in order to put the objects in the right box.
