I know I’ve said this before, but I’m always grateful for these videos. I know you are busy and have a lot of things going on and to bring us in to a part of your life is such a privilege! You continue to be such an inspiration. 😄
Thank you for your message ❤️🙏 it really means a lot to know that these videos are making a difference 🙈🙏
😄 Beautiful poetry. Absolutely love it when you share your poetry with us. Thanks.
Thanks Hannah for sharing the inspiration in dance/life & for the motivation 😊 I get lots of creative ideas!
I also like your poetry - a lovely creative outlet 😃
Thank you so much 🙏 I love using poetry to express those emotions which are difficult to describe with prose
Love this video!!! Professional ballerinas are always perfectionists - I am. Being an artist is the search for immortality and ballet is the cruelest art form because as much as performances can be recorded, uploaded, viewed and reviewed the reality of what we do ends when the curtains go down and we’re left with unforgettable memories… maybe we should try to be human - perfectly imperfect… 😂 I tried… as healthy as that mindset sounds I got a couple of variations to perfect so..
That's what makes us so good. That constant striving for "perfection!" The day we stop doing that is the day we stop improving.
I'm an ex professional ice show skater (figure skating). I did ballet for 7 years, and still love watching it to this day.
I just thought you'd like to know dancers aren't the only ones like that.
I'm obviously long retired, but it'll always be in my blood. Nothing beats performing for an audience 😊💗🏴⛸️
@@lindatannock absolutely. I LOVE figure skating ⛸️ and one of my ballet teachers from Ukraine 🇺🇦 works with olympians. She’d take me sometimes to watch their training and I knew we’re all similar! Big difference: figure skaters don’t spot when turning. How?! Lots of respect and admiration 🇵🇹🇧🇷🩰✊🏻
😀
Loved how inspired and inspiring was your voice-over 🙌
Lovely video this week! 😄 That's so fantastic that you're choreographing for the youth ballet! You really are so inspiring. And your back attitude turns are beautiful! 💜
love this video 😄! I started pre-professional training this year and your videos are so inspiring🤍
😃 So greatful for this channel. Love the 3 way splits tutorial. Thank you.
You are perfect and you are thriving! Don’t forget to enjoy yourself, you are so lovely inside and out, and deserve to feel fun and relaxed often! You have such a skill level, you should enjoy it and have fun dancing! Love ya!
Thank you for this, my 11yr old has just gone back to class after summer and this video has reminded her what can be achieved x
Absolutely LOVED this video, thank you Hannah! 😄 I’ve been feeling quite down lately because I feel I’m not improving fast enough and I’m worried because I have auditions for 16+ dance colleges in December! This really motivated me, thank you so much! Have an amazing week 🥰
You got this 💪🏻💪🏻 wishing you lots of luck for your upcoming auditions 😅
I'm coming to see BRB do Black Sabbath at Sadlers Wells and I'm BEYOND excited!!
😄 Great video such a motivating and influential video. I just watched it with my 9year old who is a budding ballerina.
Thank you for inspiring beauty, and listening to the voice of our creator. You are an inspirational ballerina and icon. May you always be blessed 🩵

😄😄 love! Love! Love! For your dinner maybe next time you can try make a houmous with the chickpeas for some sauciness to make it taste better! If you don’t want the fat from the tahini, just make it without and play around with spices! Thanks for all your help with your videos ❤
Thank you for this suggestion! Definitely need to improve my dinner game 🙌🏻🙌🏻
You are doing choreography for a youth ballet? That is absolutely amazing! Congratulations! Is there any chance they will be streaming it or selling a DVD? I have the same questions for your company!
😄
Your poetry is both wise and thought-provoking!
The timestamps are usually the beginning of the verse, which may not be the exact quote here, but it's part of that verse.
00:53 "Reminding that perseverance has no limits"
01:57 "Fighting negative self-talk". Look up "cognitive distortions." EVERYONE will recognize a lot of the negative self-talk there. One can use that to remind oneself that such thoughts are normal, and they are only cognitive distortions, so you can choose to not take them seriously.
I also remind myself that even Muggles like me feel depressed when a Dementor is around. It's kind of funny and it honestly helps cheer me up!
02:12 "You have the choice to choose how you want to be today"
2:59 "Where others see failure, I see a chance for success / and just because I'm not perfect doesn't mean I am valued any less"
06:30 "Even when you're waiting for the time to be your turn / all you can do is focus on the things you can control" ...
"You can bring your determination with you everywhere you go"
Middle-aged person's perspective: the journey is something to be enjoyed!
As frustrating and tedious as the journey may be at times, people have a tendency to look back longingly at the time when they were working to reach Their Goal.
Tennis superstar Roger Federer, who was the first man ever to win 20 Grand Slams (he smashed {ha!} the previous record of 14 Grand Slams by Pete Sampras), has said that the favourite time of his career was when he was striving to reach the number one spot. Defending #1 was more stressful and less fun.
In my own life (I am slightly less famous, and only a tiny bit less accomplished than Roger 🤣), I am now able to look back to when I was young - I'm very self-critical, but I need to be honest. If someone told me this about a 20-year-old now, I would be very impressed! What I used to do and what I considered to be totally normal, although I knew of only two other people who did the same, was a daily 3-hour bus commute to university. I was taking more than a full course load because I combined an honours degree with a minor. The time management skills I learned became super valuable. Looking back at those days, I have a lot of nostalgia. I was constantly very busy, but I always had so much motivation and even a fledgling social life.
Things become a lot more difficult when one loses motivation, and/or loses a dream. Of course, one should try to find a new dream asap, and to learn from past experiences.
It's very likely that young, ambitious, aspiring dancers (or any other career) who are performing quite the metaphorical balancing act in fulfilling all of their obligations don't realize how difficult that actually is, and how few people can be successful at that (or who even have the desire).
There's no shame in not being able to handle it either. Everybody has limitations and those do not make one less of a person!
Remember that Hannah says, "Just because I'm not perfect doesn't mean I am valued any less" and the same applies to everybody!
I could go on and on because, again, I find your poetry so thought-provoking! (The "bruise" simile was superb!)
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and poetry with us, and for continuing to inspire your viewers! 🙏💕🌸😍😄
Thank you so much for these insights, I’m always so amazed by what you can draw out from my videos. Thank you for taking the time to share them with all of us 🙌🏻 sometimes when you reflect back you can appreciate yourself way more then when you were living in that moment specifically
@@HannahMartinRG Awww, thank YOU! I have no idea how you find the time to record and edit videos and also reply to comments! Your days seem very tiring, but I’m so glad you have learned the value of resting and socializing. There’s a quote that goes something like “life is not a sprint, it’s a marathon”. I know young people are always super eager to get to the Next Thing whatever their goal or desire might be, and it’s difficult to be patient, especially when one looks around and sees other people have reached or achieved the Next Thing. Everybody is on their own path, and sometimes people who seem to “have it all“ are not even particularly satisfied, because it turned out that some of the “all“ wasn’t what they had expected. It’s difficult to admit that to oneself and even more difficult to admit it to others - so some people don’t.
Tennis interlude: Caroline Wozniacki had stated her goal was to be married by 30 and to have kids, and she got married and has two kids, and she has come back to tennis now! Kim Clijsters of Belgium did this as well a number of years ago and made the final of the U.S. Open against Serena Williams and Kim won! I think Kim had a little daughter iirc. Awwww!
Serena had her second baby in August, and thank goodness this pregnancy and delivery seem to have gone smoothly. She almost died with her first delivery. It’s a shocking story. Serena recently started her own CZcams channel by the way! It was several months before Adira’s birth. Olympia is 6 already and she’s so cute and excited to be a big sister! 🥰
I was very happy for Coco Gauff that she won the U.S. Open this year! She had a fantastic victory speech!
Back to you!
I think your daily morning journalling and Bible study is very helpful for you. You seem to be very much in touch with your emotions and thoughts, and that isn’t so common at your age. Having a strong sense of self is also uncommon at your age, but I think you have this, and have always thrived even when you’ve taken a very unusual path to your ballet career. It must’ve been very challenging at times but you obviously have the talent, the determination and perseverance to stick with it!
Speaking of rewards for determination and perseverance, you are really close to 100,000 subscribers! I think you get a YT standup plaque!
I hope you and Regan and all your colleagues and family are doing super well! 😍🙏💝🌺🦋✨
Wow I didn't realize how much I needed to hear this video today ❤ (Also 😄)
😄
Hi Hannah! 😄 I was wondering if you could make another week in my life? Because those videos really motivate me to keep pushing myself. I hope to one day be like you and dance in the Royal ballet since it’s my dream company!
😄😄
Hi love your videos I was just wondering sometimes do you miss rhythmic gymnastics because I know how much you loved it I was just asking so please don't get mad love your vids❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😂😂😂😂
Sometimes I do, but very grateful for the life I have now. Rhythmic gymnastics will always be a part of me 🙈❤️
I love your poem in this video! so inspiring!!! would you consider doing a video with just the poem or typing it out to print so that i can read it when i'm feeling unmotivated? you are amazing, it's great to be inspired by another christian dancer!!
I can definitely try and find a written transcript of the poem and possibly pin it on this video I’d you would like it? 😅
If you could chat about how to not overthink and get distracted by what ballet teachers/masters say to you that would be amazing! This could be part of a how to not let negative thoughts take over video …?🙏🤞
This is even tough for me, but my recent video on confidence may be helpful? X
So encouraging! So sorry i have not been recently watching.. but it is such a treat because today i can just binge watch all of these episodes i have missed 😂. I just have a question, how do you make time to like to relax and have time with God. I have been trying to make time for my daily time with God but I just never have time 😢i wake up at 6 then struggle to be ready on time to leave for school and usually i am late.. at 12 me and my friends have to try eat lunch do our hair get ready in only 30 mins (this is yhe only break we get all day ;/ ) to jump straight into dance until 5:30 but some nights they keep us till 9pm then when i get home i am just exhausted and i fall into bed just to start it all over again. Do you have any suggestions for me ❤
Dear Hannah, I've been following you on YT for quite a while now and I'm really a fan of yours ❤️ and your dedication and hard work❤️
Maybe you could turn the volume down on the music? Sometimes i have difficulties understanding what you're saying so i turn the volume up. But then the music is SO loud. Also, I'm more into classical music so it's just not my cup of tea I guess.
Sorry to mention that, but it would really make things easier when watching.
No hate❤️
😃 It's always a struggle to be consistent. We are human after all. The truth is we all have good and bad days. I love how you learned perspective and are able to look at yourself honestly. Hang in there.
Nice video 😀 Is that your own poetry? If not, can you share the title/book? Would love to get a copy. Take care and Best wishes to you! and to all!
💖💗💓😄💓💗💖🤗
😄😄😄😄😄😄
Hey Hannah - love the video (as always!). Just wanted to let you know that your voice was super muffled in this one - even on the voiceovers, but then the music was quite loud, so it was really hard to understand you without having to absolutely crank the volume (and then be blasted by the music). Just something to think about for next time (obvs ballet is your priority though!)
Thank you for letting me know this! Sometimes I do the voiceovers early in the morning before work so I’m trying to be quiet not to wake anyone else up 😂 it’s really helpful to know that I need to configure the noise balance a bit better x I appreciate it!
😁
Nothing to say except for😄
😄😄😄
Bro I’m so greatful cause most ballerinas or ill say dancer cause I ain’t good enough to be called a ballerina yet I’m nine almost ten I started dancing when I was four or five and when I finish dance all I do is watch CZcams while laying in bed eating and sleeping-

Hehe, don’t know if skiing would be my thing 🙈🙏 Olympics will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤
4:33 Heavy metal ballet? 🤯🤯🤯 Whose music are you using for it, and is it the first time you are using that genre of song?
😄 nothing to see here, just me trying to fit in.
PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS!
