BUDDY!! I live in WV now but grew up in Punta Gorda, Charlotte county SW FL. everything about your video makes me home sick. I love your home. It reminds me of my neighborhood growing up and we smoked mullet all the time. my family survived on mullet, snook, bass, SS turtle, bull frogs, hogs and deer meat. keep up the good work Buddy.

Agreed, a somewhat non-traditional basting/seasoning ... but so what, looks great from where I'm seated and you can invite me over anytime to taste test if you're around the TampaBay area. I've eaten my fair share of smoked mullet when I was younger as it's much harder to come by these days unless you do it yourself ... which is still on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing.

When you say split down the back? Did you go down both sides of the spine? Or just one side? Couldn't really see how you did that.
Funny I never keep bigger mullet. I just keep 8 to 12 inch finger mullet for Snook. But that does look very good 👍

Just one side. So you end up with one side with bones and the other side without.

@@floridagrownandgathered8775 okay thanks. I'm definitely trying this. I catch them and always let em go. Just bought a smoker so this will be something else to try.
