Although we're not entirely sure, we think that CBN (the sermon was recorded at the CBN studio in Virginia Beach, VA) was recording another show in another room during Derek's sermon. This other show apparently caused lots of cheers and applauding from the crowd and this was audible in the room were Derek was preaching.

Wow. This sermon was preached the very year I was born. I was born into the stuff he’s talking about and thought it was normal. Praise God He saved me in 2011/2012.

I read Derek Prince s book in 2005 and now I have read almost all of them. I love him above all preachers. His books and now his preachings has helped me tremondosuly. I too long to meet him in heaven and shake his hand.
This is an old message? Cant imagine what he would say about today's world.
I would say narcissism and self hatred out of a lack of proper love and discipline. People have a weird relationship with loving themselves. Hedonism is a self “love” of excess that destroys.
Yes, it's not actually even love - at least not in a Biblical sense. It's more about obsession with self - and your "rights".
I have a sibling; he has not missed a FLING nor a Party since 1971(he is misery).
Father, you picked the time and place and family of my birth. I trust You. Show me how to redeem the time, for the days are evil. I give myself to You. I believe in You.
If you Love God first, that is what you are. Have him be in your temple, he takes that space, we can still have love for others. Christians stop speaking curses on others.
And they'll know we are Christains by our love but by our curses.
The most sad thing is that I have been born into such a society where this individualistic and self loving lifestyle is even promoted in churches all over the place and now I have to work out all of this on my own. :/

I agree with him. I only recently became a Christian but I've been saying for years that people have been becoming more self- centred, money orientated and family and friends dismissive...It has been heartbreaking. I am so thankful that I found GOD and that he found and rescued me...
This gentleman was predicting the future(prophecy) when he said if a child doesn't have BOTH parents, then the child will take his/her frustration out on society.
Those who agree with BLM, and those that protest about injustice who speak like loud fools with no wisdom..no matter their title.

What an amazing word; this sermon was given years ago so I imagine he didn't know how bad it would be compared to the time it is was given. Most children in school now have single parents and are totaly unruly and it's only getting worse.

Adult children estrange patents these days too taking away grandchildren. From grandparents. Who prayed w the lil ones when they was small. Etc etc
So sad to see the evil corrupt our families. May Yahweh open the eyes of the grandchildren and their parents ears ,eyes , and hearts we ask this in Yeshua of Nazareth our Lord and Savior.
I think something is wrong: Not "love herself" is the reason for this dark time ... it's egoism and that ist not the same. Jesus Christ says: "Have love for your neighbour as for yourself." (Mark 12:31) So you can only love your neighbour, wenn you love yourself, too. The difference make, when you are egoistic, then you only think about yourself.
II Timothy 3:1-5...what we love the most will determine what we will be! What will it be? Do you love self more or money or pleasure! The love of self is the reason for divorce today, for society being the way it is and families! Children are taking out their anger and frustration out on society! Children, who have not been loved...who have not been disciplined and parenteral by both parents is plaguing our society with violence and hatred!

Marriages break up for many reasons. One of them is that women no longer are willing to tolerate abuse and overcontrolling spouses. Back in the "good old days" women had no choice so more families stayed together. I've heard this type of message since i was a child and always wondered how it made those from "broken" homes feel. The problems of society are more complex than what is presented here.
Selfishness or self-centeredness is the root cause of failed marriages (and sin in general ). Adultery is wanting to have sex with someone other than the spouse regardless of the hurt I would cause my spouse. Arguments are both spouses need to be right instead of yielding out of love. Conflicts over family responsibilities are a husband and/or wife not working for each other and putting their family first. Domestic abuse is someone not getting their way so that they seek to physically dominate (usually man the woman). Financial issues are wanting to spend money the way that I think that it should be spent. Lack of physical intimacy is one spouse refusing to yield their body as God commands them in marriage to do. I am sure that there are other issues leading to divorce, but you get the idea.
If in our marriages and other relationships we just think of (1) God and His desires and (2) our spouse or neighbor before ourselves and our wants, then all relationships would be so much more successful. There is a reason that Jesus changes us when we are saved. He gives us new hearts and new spirits so that the world will be a better place one person at a time.
I thought the word of God says the curses from the darkness will keep away from true Christian's and go back to the one who claimed them in the dark...
But if you are misused you HAVE to leave..
