my god I finally understand the difference. I was confused on whether they were all different values but you clarified that they are all the same uncertainties just expressed in different form. Thank you so much

So happy the lecture was helpful! It's surprising how badly it's explained sometimes

please sir can you recommend a book based on the basics of uncertainty, errors and graphs for physics lab? lots of love from India

as for the unit, im still confused at where should we put it... cuz in the practice example, the units were written beside the uncertainties. kindly advise.

    Excuse me 🖐️
Th last example you did for number 2 on both sides - 1874+or-40: why did you round the number uo to 3 significant figures? and 990+or-6 : why did you round the uncertainty to 1 significant figure?
    Thank you 🙇🏻‍♂️🙏

Im confused - I got 4/pi on the exam, and I thought I explained it thoroughly. Isn’t the fractional uncertainty (delta(A))/A. ?
Where A = the area of the circle
Delta(A) = the uncertainty of the area
    ???

But why wouldn't you use the full range of the number to express the fractional uncertainty?

Hi! I'm from Pakistan and I'm in highschool. This isn't even in my syllabus, but as I was studying difference between error & uncertainty I was curious (as I love physics) about these uncertainties.
You helped me a lot Sir. Thanks
