- For those who demand both style and substance, the SC-Custom III delivers on all fronts! Crafted from a Meranti body and neck, it features a WSC Tune-O-Matic bridge, along with an ABS nut and Grover tuners, making tuning instability and intonation issues a thing of the past. The Modern C-profile neck with 22 medium jumbo frets lends to a smooth and comfortable playing field, even for the most intricate of solos. Powering the SC-Custom III are its twin Tesla VR-Nitro Alnico-5 humbuckers, going from rich, clean rhythms to aggressive, biting leads. The two volume controls and tone controls, 3-way toggle switch, along with the push/pull coil split feature, add further versatility, letting you dial-in the perfect tone. Whether you’re laying down smooth grooves or unleashing fiery solos, the SC-Custom III, here in a Gold Top finish, is your perfect musical partner.

YOUR STYLE. YOUR GEAR. - Hudba
This brand is really maturing well.
So, f*ck the environment as long as your guitar is slightly lighter? Thought of doing a bit of excercise?
I support Harley Benton 100% on this one. I definitely prefer better pickups, bridges, nuts, frets and tuners to a "tonewood" that hardly (if at all) affects the sound. Maybe you should buy a PRS? Mr. Marmite over there claims tonewood is a thing because he says so.
@@user-bh5yr7wc1v To each their own. I play metal, so to me the wood don’t matter. My 5 year old HB LP is heavy, but I lift weights so that’s ok. I just think that whoever’s responsible for the design language is making all the right choices. But I understand your POV and I forgive you for not sharing my enthusiasm. ;p
@@user-bh5yr7wc1v i feel sorry for your consumerist brain. waste money on expensive guitars with "better tonewood" more. what a joke😂
Changed all hw on all my HBs, so your message is pointless. Have a US Tremonti PRS as well. Liked HB until they switched to meranti. The wood and the craftsmanship was very good on mahogani HB guitars, now it is just the latter. I only kept the boards of HBs, everything else was changed, as it is cheap and not really good, incl.pickups.
Meranti is not just heavier, it sounds worse. Do your research. It is a cheap tonewwod, one of the cheapest there is.
If you guys at Thomann want to build meranti guitars, at least do proper chambering. Or return to mahogani.
Or do both (best option) and increase your prices a bit. I wouldn't mind (literally nobody would) paying 50 dollars or euros more - if you built it this way.
The way you've chosen to take is a road to hell. Your guitars are now made of plywood, and that, sorry to say that, is a thing you just cannot replace on a piece. Everything else, you can... 😢
@@user-bh5yr7wc1v You can’t eat booty in heaven so I’m on the right path. You do you bro. 👍🏼
Fantastic guitar. The only point to improve is the freatboard material. A darker wood would look much better
You can get a stain for it
Boiled flaxseed oil is one of the best for Roasted Jatoba, and it does darken up the fretboard quite a bit.
Love the new Headstock inlay! Really unique. Hoping it also gets incorporated in other SC customs with classic looks. Great Job HB!
Nah is ugly, and make no sense with the overall design/aesthetics of the guitar. They probably had a warning from the authentic guys.
@@Alfredo78666 "warning from the authentic guys" 😂 😂
@@Alfredo78666id rather it just not have an inlay at all therefore less work less cost less stuff to mess up and i could buy 1 sticker if i wanted to fill that space
But yes its hideous in the context of a gold top. It looks like a random native American mixed with norse rune shape. It belongs on a blanket not a guitar lol
The tone sounds really darn good in this demo. Looks sharp too!
Thanks!
Damn that headstock looks absolutely fantastic!
I don't like that new pattern 😂
Bit it's subjective lol
Parmi l'une des meilleures guitares de cette marque dans le registre Les Paul... Et de plus : absolument pas cher !
Ibanez et Cort vont pouvoir se rhabiller ! ! !
Incroyable Son et Incroyable Lutherie. Le Top du Top pour moi.
Looks great,sounds great. Awesome.
What a beauty!!!!!
I have the original SC Custom in white, I love this guitar, It is more like an ESP Eclipse than a Les Paul but I like this, I had to change out the Wilkinson pickups as I think they were the fake ones, but I put Fluence pickups in and routed out a battery housing, it is an awesome sounding guitar now!
HB did not knowingly put fake Wilkinsons in their guitars, the fakes got into the Wilkinson supply chain, HB remedied this as soon as it became apparent.
Kudos to HB!
I love that gold!
Pretty
FR version in gold?
Pretty vacant!
Oooh I want one. Have one of the older versions and it is a great guitar to. ❤
Can't wait for the demos of the new sc custom III actives!
Just ordered this model. 🎉🎉
Georgeous. A review with the active tesla pick-ups please Harley Benton ?
brill, I have an awesome SC-550 II with an incredible top, , hopefully you'll make an SC with Floyd Rose but Gibson scale length and XJ ss frets? And EMGs too... That would give a serious run for the money to the LTDs ec 1000 FR
Some of the new Custom SCs have graphite nut and some plastic nut. Is this really necessary?
I was wondering too
Guys, put some Boiled flaxseed oil on those Roasted Jatoba fretboard, it'd look amazing, also for these promo videos.
Will this be available in that gorgeous black with gold furniture at some point?
Anyone know how this compares to the sc 550 ii? The 550ii is on back order for a few months but the custom iii would be available
Does anyone know how the VR pickups hold up against the Opus 1 and the Roswell's?
Im torn between this, SC custom 2 and yhe 550 2
Main difference is the pick ups so any help deciding would be nice
I have one now. They are ok. No idea why it's a Gold Top when it's all gold.
Q mebas a decir ,toda la razón,
Needs a dark fretboard to be perfect.
Boiled Flaxseed Oil best for Jatoba imo. It darkens it up, like lemon oil does for Rosewood.
How do these Custom III stack with the SC550? are they of a superior range?
SC Custom has three knobs and coil split. SC550 does not I believe.
Waiting SC 550 III plus EMG PAF 😅
Gold Top already sold out
Want
Splitting hairs here, but is it technically a gold top if the back is gold as well? 😉
Should have left the back and sides natural. For me thats the real gold top look
I own lots of HGs but I'm not sure about this design. Ok I bought one
I'd like to see original models from HB
I'd specifically like to see a more modern, Strandberg-style headless, because I really hate the Dullahan shape.
But if they have to do a lot of research and development inhouse, it will drive their prices up. Ultimately, it's just easier and cheaper for them to copy other guitars and change the colours around every 4 to 6 months.
Is it a rebranded LTD EC 256?
Byebye Gibson...... hello Harley Benton! 😜
Lame I literally just bought an SC II ! And you release all these III models
If it was recent enough you could always provide them with some b stock for some fella on a budget. And get yourself a shiny new toy
great stuff. but an all golden guitar is not a gold top.
Ha!
That design in the center of the headstock is rather ugly, anyhow I'm lefty anyways:-7 PS: One thing that strucks me about this particular model is the back finish, simil to the front, really nice.
Yes people, I see the fantastic sc custom lll but I don't understand why HB guitars are offered below value, just take a jcm 800 or a jvm 410 H and show off the full potential of your guitars. HB is no longer the underdog for a long time, so show your true potential so that everyone can hear it and what's more, please use graphtech saddles for the SC custom lll because anything else will not meet the demands of your brand in any way.❤🔥🥳
true...
It will be crap like the rest of them
Can’t u really find a better wood for the fretboard? Looks very ugly
Jatoba is very durable as a fretboard and probably cheaper than pau ferro or rosewood.
@@D14V0R05 still sucks
@@D14V0R05 To my knowledge, no one uses rosewood anymore due to CITES regulations.
@@Tosterrrr It is still in circulation but I think there are some restrictions on importing guitars that have a rosewood parts. just a couple days ago Fender released their Players II series with rosewood fretboards, so there is that.
@@D14V0R05 Oh wow, I was seriously convinced that everyone had actually let go of this type of wood in guitar manufacturing.
