to be fair, DT was lying to the whole AFTV crew, and I think Robbie was trying to protect a friend who he assumed was going through mental health issues. The moment the truth came out, they admitted they were wrong. But yeah, funny how the wife beating memes became reality. Just not "ha ha" funny.

The only thing I don’t like about DT is when he’s on AFTV watch along and he’s on his phone the whole game not watching the match, even when arsenal are playing well and winning.

I'm fine with my missus taking ages to get ready despite her promising to be out the door by a certain time. But watching Arsenal pissfart their way through matches shits me to tears; it's infuriating - I completely get where DT's coming from.

As someone that's worked with DT a few times through his football team, I have to agree with Robbie here. Off camera and just chatting with me, he's such a decent guy. As soon as the whistle goes and the competition of the game begins, he gets very aggressive and hostile very quickly and it's hard to talk with him in the immediate aftermath.
Quick story, once he spent 10 minutes screaming at the ref for playing "55 minutes" in the second half before even reaching added time. I'm hearing it all, whilst my camera is rolling and clearly showed ref was at 45 minutes. Even when I sent footage over for him to edit, in the video that went up he still claimed ref played 55 minutes + added, when my video file was only 49 minutes long with post game handshakes included.
Moral of story, really nice man outside of a competitive environment, really nasty once in it.

Honestly the best part of watchalongs is that if you're a fan and for whatever reason you can't make the game. You can still feel some passion and enjoy the game through a watchalong. Football becoming more n more a sport for anyone.

". Will, I worry about turning a corner, wondering which adversary might be there ? and Will I have any lasting effects from what I could get involved in ?

Love DT. I find it very difficult to disagree with any of his views as they mirror my own, love the aftv podcast and DT is the first interview I check out straight after a match.
Ive met DT during one of his games as a cameraman, and I found him irritating.
Before the game I really liked him, but he cannot take criticsm or banter but loves to dish it out. I made a joke that his game v se dons would get abandoned and he just threw unecessary abuse at me

I think Robbie has proven to be a leader; a builder like him knows when to know that stuff is gone too far.
I never understood the excessive approach of Troopz and DT; sometimes they go too far and to understand how to read the room and the moment, that’s the difference.
But we can’t be the same right? Kudos to the guys.
All the other members of AFTV act like that naturally but DTs character feels so forced nowadays.
