- After only one day of practice and two very tough days of qualifying, I somehow managed to make the cut into the knockout round. I am hoping I can find enough bites to make it to the championship round. I am just looking for a clue as to what these fish are doing.

DC I thought J Dub was the king of getting Smallmouth to the boat quick, but son u have got catching them perfected! I noticed where someone commented on ur hook setting technique being really awesome, I have to agree with that fan ur hook set pretty bad ass but also u retrieve those crazy ass brown fish( smallmouth) so damn quick it’s unreal! I watch other anglers and they pussyfoot around with them and take for ever to get’em in! All I can say bud is u just keep doin’ wat ur doin and it will come to the point that MLF will do wat they did wen everybody was crying about J Dub till MLF has done changed the format a little so everybody would stop crying and I guess in the 2024 MLF SEASON THEY’LL BE TWEEKING THE FORMAT BECAUSE ALL THE ANGLERS WILL BE CRYING ABOUT U CATCH MORE FISH THAN THAN THEM! Lol!Tight lines my friend !

@@pj101kid I’ll go against this and say that their customer service has been super reasonable for me on two occasions. Replaced broken, high dollar rods both times.
Dang KF can you give them a break because Roland martin can go to the everglades and catch 3 6 pounders in a day and none of his rods break, all dc does is hook sets really hard, go to Rolands channel and watch how he hook sets

What kinda rod snaps setting the hook on a 3.7 liber?
Pretty much any of them when you set the hook hard enough to make the tip touch the reel seat.
