I'm Afrikaans, so whenever a German or Dutch person is talking in they're language I can understand them completely. Some words sound exactly the same but some I can make out what they mean. Some words also sound a bit hilarious😂

I lost my grandma a few years back. She, like your grandma, was beautiful, elegant, and loving. Watching her do her makeup and hair for the day and her gently applying “makeup” to my face as a child are some of my fondest childhood memories. These videos are so soothing to me because they remind me so much of those sweet moments.
