What you said in the end was true. I left my company (the company I did my apprenticeship) and moved onto another company, simply to be on more money. I’m always on and off the trowel I wasn’t laying everyday constantly. I was always snagging, insulating and pointing. My company didn’t want to put my money up and they’re not straight forward on how I should be on more money. So I decided to leave and go to another company. I don’t regret it at all. Anyone who’s reading this, when you finish your apprenticeship with a company, I say stay for a year if you can then start looking to jump ship. Don’t let nobody say you can’t jump ship. Take the chance to do it and believe in yourself

Fairplay for not biting with young Charlie, don't touch sites myself, don't know where my profiles are either, I'll donate them to him 😃, it ain't about speed, it's about quality and being proud of your work, the money follows very quickly that way 👍

Absolutely no point putting damp course behind furfix it should be cut into the cavity both sides

Looks like the flowers estate. I've bricked a few up on garages there. Normally use 140mm by 100mm concrete lintels instead of a foundation

Brick and half is the minimum for stand alone column which can take up to 22 T presumably with no axial loading with bending or eccentric forces. In other words with what’s above the opening. Don’t think the inspector with have a problem 🙏🏻🧱💰

Always put damp behind the furfix, then just put a dab of silicone where you pierce it with the fixings

That's really worying bro.As long as the lintel sits on150mm you can build whatever you want mate.As long as everything is load bearing you can build anything if you have the skill .Have you ever worked on a building site bro?Seriously you'd know that an apprentice would after 6 months.Suspitious.

There’s loads of work and too many bad bricklayers. Get a start. Don’t rush be neat and speed will come. You’ll get noticed. Someone will look after you. If not move on. Some companies don’t care about quality. All about money. Avoid.
