Great advice Drew about joining a club. Nearly all my firearms have been bought through my club therefore I know how the previous or even previous two or three owners have used and cared for them. And, generally get them at a better price. 🤘🏻🤠🤘🏻

I bought I walther century gt at an auction, was after a hk 97 but it went over my limit so took a punt on the walther and got it for £180. The gun I really wanted was a tx 200 but couldn’t justify the £650 asking price but one day at the shooting range a bloke let me have a go on his tx200 and after a few shots I realised that I was more than happy with my walther and saved myself a fair bit of money! So some good advice there Drew about the gun club!👍🏽

i still have a hw77 which i bought back in about 1989 to 1990..it still shoots like new/would never part with/it//also just got a hw97..with a thumhole stock..which is a lovely gun...

Also shouldering rifles new in the RFD can feel totally different to what you expect once you have scope on them , trying them down your local range can be far more preferable 😀
Yes totally agree as you can often pick up a bargain or two, but what I tend to do, is do a little homework on what might be a good buy, such as replacement parts, springs seals etc. Picked up a 1985 HW77 for a ton, it needed a little work on the stock and a re-blue, whilst I was at it, I fitted a new spring and piston seal and ended up with a cracking accurate rifle for around one and a half, plus the fun and enjoyment of bringing it back to life.😀
Yeah good points there - availability of service parts is an important factor.

The better more expensive new or used are built like tanks and will last for years over the cheaper ones. If I can afford it, I buy German made pistols or rifles.🇩🇪

heres my air gun history. Was given a BSA meteor , knackered but it got me shooting again. Next was a second hand Pro sport £350 , had to put a new spring in and also while there i replaced the guides and seals. Next was an S400 , then my grandson got into shooting so he uses the S400 , I had to buy a Daystate Hunstman revere and that is me done. Dont need anything else 🙂

Ive learnt that buying budget means buying twice and good luck in getting shut of the budget rifle when you upgrade.
My local airgun club has folded.. Membership got down to 5 members. It was impossible to keep the doors open.
Great gun collection there my friend. I'm surprised to hear about the lack of interest in the club though - my local club is getting to the point where there's actually too many shooters now, not easy to get range time.
Had a dig through the back room of a local shop and found an old Webley MK3 that’d been sitting there for a good while - finish still had its gloss, original irons and x20 scope still attached. Bloke wanted £110 for it so I snapped it up there and then. Gave the internals some TLC, new spring and seal and it’s a cracking rifle. Gave it to my Grandad to sort the odd rat out and he loves it - says it was the fancy man’s Airsporter back in the day and after using both I’m inclined to agree!

Hey Drew, I just found your channel early this morning about 2.30 am and it kinda spoke to my soul ! Arthritis in my knee's and neck put paid to my first love of archery. So for my 73rd birthday last month, I bought a Gamo P25 air pistol which I absolutely love. It has brought back to me the zen state of absolute concentration that I have missed for many years with my archery. My back yard gives me a distance of about 15 metres, which is perfect for my future in plinking, but as you probably have guessed I am now lusting for an air rifle. My choice is the SMK Victory cp2, a combo air pistol and short carbine rifle, which will give me the best of both worlds for very little outlay. I have written this short epistle to you simply because I have the feeling that you will understand where I am coming from. Anyhoo, I'm off to fire off a few meditative rounds and zen out for an hour or so. ✌❤ Bob.
Thank you kindly Bob 😎 Well, I have the CP2 and I can tell you I'm genuinely pleased with it. I use it with the rifle barrel mostly but it's nice to have the short barrel option.

i wish i could buy second hand stuff but i have to buy it new as like you say anything could happen and real i need good friend's who can help out in the department as I've ask the Chester gun room it`s ok grate people but it`s hard to speak to them or speak to anyone real as there working and not got time to build that trust to be friends respect is always the first to build and man you got mine love this video`s

I'm also unburdened by wealth yet in the last 3-4 years I've bought 2 HW97K 's, 1 HW97K Long(all in. 177), 2 AA TX-200HC (.22),1 TX200 MK3(.22), 1 TX-200 MK3(.177). I don't have a used market here in the US so all these are new, bought using Affirm payment plans with 12-18 monthly payments. 2 HW97K were bought from Krale for big savings. I free up monthly payments and replace them with 2 guns a year and get a scope mounted, sighted plus a 20 shot series on a chronograph for $20 extra because I buy from Pyramid Air!

I've got seven air rifles now and bought them all used they all still look brand new I love my air arms springers I've got pcp's but to me the tx and prosport are the best air rifles nothing wrong with hw97k etc though before all the fanboys give me abuse😂😂

Would love to get into a gun club that has air rifles, im not sure if any exist around me, ill have to look into that, ive become quite fond of break barrels after we just bought one not long ago, i been thinking about a premium one thats used or refurbished, i dont think pcp is for me right now personally, maybe in the future sometime, who knows where air rifle adventures take me and the kiddos, theyve all taken up shooting so it makes it worthwhile
Yeah I think a good used 'premium' springer represents the best value for the hard earned dollar.
