I think a kandra human hybrid would be similar to Vivena and Siri as descendants of returned that can slightly change their appearance, except I think they would have better control over changing their appearance, but probably be limited to human shape. Maybe they could interact with kandra spikes in some way as well
You mention Nahel-bonding with a Cognitive Shadow around 1:43:20. We see that in Yumi and the Nightmare Painter. Painter, after the spirits link him to Yumi, actually summons a Shardbrush to combat a Nightmare.
I wonder if a midnight spore-eater would be able to see through midnight essence.

On the subject of whether a supercharged leecher could kill a spren, I think it's plausible. Just look at what happened to Aux. I know that's not exactly the same and some rules may be being broken there, but it's definitely a spren death that is more based in the power being consumed rather than annihilated by anti-investiture.
I was thinking about the WoB about changing a shard. I think that if it was possible to change a shard to whatever you want, someone would have done it already. Like, imagine if Odium saw this possiblity and took the chance to turn Devotion, for example, into an intent more similar to Odium so that his original intent wouldn't change too much since we know he's warry of that from some of the interludes. Considering this, changing a shard is either REALLY hard/impractical or it is more like swapping to another facet of the original intent.
Re: Yolen, I'd guess the fain life and any impacts of the Shattering have kept technology down, but could imagine they have some super unique magic and/or relics of the past there
The question about shard gaining knowledge reminds me of metal minds. A keep has access to all the information, but they must pull it from their metal mind.
So, lightweavers have a resonance, or a reverse lashing equivalent, where they can alter their Identity like a forger with a soulstamp. Or at least a lightweaver with additional personalities like Shallan. That's interesting.
The memory thing feels like a distinction between Shardic knowledge and Vessel knowledge. The concept of Hemalurgy is Shardic knowlesge - it's mechanical. The existence of Hoid is Vessel knowledge - it's historical and personal.
I got the dice display from Dragon Woodshop for my brother's birthday, highly recommend them too.
I would compare Shard's knowledge to Destiny from "Sandman". He has all the knowledge of past, present and future, but it is contained in his book. The book is still a part of Destiny, however in order to counsciously know something he has to take it and read the right page. He is not omniscent, however he has access to infinite knowledge.

Unless Brandon said something that changes this in the ars arcanem for The Lost medal it says that if you use Atium as a hemallergic spike it will take all of the subjects powers which means if you use it on hoyd oh boy things could get scary.

I interpreted the idea that Yolen was behind on technology was because they had access to the Aethers and whatever else powerful magic. IRL technology is developed in response to challenges people faced, bronze and iron working for example allow people to farm far more efficiently through the use of tools made out of such metals. They also provide tangible benefits in combat, allowing for sharper, more durable, and more plentiful (in the case of iron) weapons. But when people look to the magic system instead to solve their problems, when they use magic to plow their fields and when the number and power of aether-wielders singlehandedly decides battles, they're less likely to take risks and put in the generations of effort to make the significant breakthroughs we associate with early civilization since, well, there isn't as much benefit from doing so.

What is the bond called when a human bonds a dead shardblade? Is it still a Nahel Bond or is it different due to the spren's dead nature?
Re: awakening, I feel like it makes more sense to think about it with respect to the shard and the intent it represents. For example the intent of Endowment would make it easy to bestow investiture and spren like awareness. Perhaps whether investiture from another shard is capable of that has to do with how antithetical that is to the shards intent? For example what the Threnodites do might make sense because taking investiture could reflect the pursuit of more power, the desire to ascend or grow, and the competitive or transformative essence that ambition embodies, and giving investiture could reflect the motivational aspects of ambition. They might eventually figure out awakening faster than a shard like Autonomy or Odium for example as their intents seem antithetical to awakening and more prone to corruption??

In a WOB that wasn't covered by this channel, Brandon mentions using proto-hemalurgy in Way of Kings Prime to bind one of the Unmade (in a room we never enter). In canon, you can only do it with metals, though (as far as we know).
What if you leach a dawnshard?
I imagine the first thing to go would be what Zellion calls the Torment.
We know Dawnshards self-protect. So...probably something along the lines of "poof"
