I was enthralled by this piece since the time I heard it played by Narciso Yepez in both recordings and live concerts. This piece triggered for me the passion for Spanish and European medieval and renaissance music. There is an almost a mantra-feeling to this piece which I learned to play first by ear and later from a score after many years of search. I enjoy playing this gem and enjoy to listen to other interpretations. I am blown away by the thoughtful and delicate approach of this interpretation. The slower tempo used in this interpretation not only creates a meditative and serene environment but also makes us focus and savor each precious note and harmonies.
