    So it's all about improving Communication and Marketing. Do you have some advices on how to learn these skills properly? I mean you also had to learn this somehow or were you born with this? Did you take courses or are there any training programs where this is taught efficiently? As someone suffering from massive bullying during childhood, this is one of the most difficult things to learn for me.

    There is also *luck*, which is a totally random thing. Remember it when you compare yourself to others

      Luck isn’t totally random - it’s simply a game of probabilities. The more attempts you make, the greater your chances of success. And when you improve the quality of each attempt, your odds of winning rise even higher.

    Thanks for the great videos. You mentioned that a software engineer is someone who creates a software solution to a problem, kind of like taking it from the architecture to the final product. That's pretty much what I do actually, and I've been calling myself a software engineer. But sometimes, I wonder if "software engineer" is the correct term or if something like "solution engineer" or "technical consultant" might fit better. I prefer "software engineer," but I'm unsure how it lands with others, like clients. What's your take on this?

    I see my friends applying for 50 jobs a day, simply bashing away application forms daily, hoping that someday their resume gets in. They completely forgot that it is a person who is in between them and the job, not a piece of ATS software. Does this method work? I never tried it and don't even want to send an application where I know very well, I wouldn't get noticed. What advice can you give to people like me, who are international students and have tough time competing in this tough job market?

    • @Bgo_J
      @Bgo_J  Před měsícem +3

      If I were to use an analogy, the method your friends are using is that of a Machine Gun - they hope to take as many shots at landing a job and hope one hits.
      You can think of my method as a Sniper - you have specific jobs that you are targeting and spend a lot more time on honing your application to perfection.
      Figure out where you wish to work first, and look at the problem that that company is having (i.e - look at the job description. Most often than not, the problem they want solved is right there). Offer a solution to that problem either as a MVP (minimal viable product) or as a video breakdown of how you would approach creating a solution with your skills.
      I have yet to see a properly executed method such as this fail on the grander scheme of things. Furthermore, anything else in your application will be a bonus (personal website, etc...)

    Hi! I am a CS student, going on my 2nd year in Romania. I relate a lot to what you're saying and I feel that I am in a critical point of my life now, I am currently involved in a few different projects and I am trying to build businesses also. I have not launched anything yet and I am stuck at having ideas, working on them but getting them over to people for me is so hard, it feels like a curse. I believe that I am a good programmer, I never had issues with school projects and in my job I do very well. I feel like I need someone like minded to talk to that's experienced, do you do any kind of mentoring or 1 on 1 calls?

      Subscribe to the newsletter if you haven't already, it well help you for sure.
      I currently do not offer any mentoring or 1 on 1 calls due to the nature of my business schedule outside of CZcams. That being said, is this something you would like to see?
