- Lots of people have questions about this so hopefully this video showing how to control your iPod/iPhone from your Spyder RT's handlebars and dash will help.
This works when the iPod/iPhone is plugged into the Spyder RT's trunk plug via the iPod cable NOT the other 3.5mm audio jack type MP3 cable. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Thanks Bob, for this instructional video, couple notes for anyone else, the additional menus within IPOD / AUX screen only work when the Spyder is stopped. AND on the screen (that the reflection inhibits here) there are double chevrons >> and single chevrons > near the options. a Double chevron means hold the button down for a long moment, the single chevron means just press and release. After watching your vid and playing with mine the differences in the >> and > made sense.
I learn so much from You Videos .... Just love them Thanks Heaps :-)
Hi Bob, thanks for the vid. I finally purchased an iPod nano 7 gen and it works just as you described!!!
I have a 2012 RT and an old 30 GB iPod (not an iPod touch - it has a spinning dial). They work great together!!
Thanks this video was very helpfull
Is there a way to move the sound to the rear speakers
Hey man, can you help me?
My friend has a motocycle like yours. And whenever they rip in motocycle, the radio does not locate the Ipod as first media of reproducion.
His radio go to aux mode and not for ipod mode.
He needs open de backbagage e touch an any botton on ipod for reproduce his musics.
Do you know how to solve this problem?
We have a Can-Am Spyder 2012. Can someone explain how to listen to music from our iPhone 7 plus? Thanks!!!
How can you select your station on the handle bar ?
u said that Android could skip forward and backward a song how does that work? thank
Thanks for the video. I recently purchased a 2015 Can Am Spyder RT-S. I also have a IPhone 8Plus but I dont have a clue what I need to connect the 2 or if it is even possible. I do have some sort of dongle cable (comes with the bike) that appears to connect to the bike 7 pin audio jack in the trunk. The other end is flat and about an inch wide. Can you tell me what kind of adaptor I need and what it is commonly called so I can shop for one. Thanks PS, Will it charge the phone?
The plug in the trunk is an old school iPod connector. You can get an adapter to convert it to Apple lightening connector. Only Apple phones work on this and can be controlled from the dash and grip buttons. If you have Android phone it won’t do this.
How did you hook the phone up to what??
Just curious. Do these directions apply to ALL years and makes of Spyder RT's?
Thomas Nessman works on my ‘16 f3-t limited
It works for my 2021 can am spyder limited
Is there anyway I can Bluetooth my android phone to my 2010 RT so I can have my music come out the bikes speakers and not just on my sena headset?
Did you ever get an answer, that's what I want to do, I have a 2012 RT
May I ask what year is that spyder you have, becuz I been trying to find iPod scene on my 2015 can am spyder rt limited. Can you help me with instruction if you please
Mine is a 2012 but the 2015 should be the same. Join the can am SPYDER self service and technical group on Facebook. All help and info is there.
@@FinlessBob oh ok thanks I order something off of Amazon it’s a plugs into the plug that’s in the back trunk, it’s seem to be a round plug that pin stick thru I spoke to car toys they pointed that out to me and also there is another device I can order that can make it a Bluetooth . The problem is that the iPhone I have a newer Iphone and it takes a smaller plug. I like listen to the radio but I rather to my music I have in my library
@@preacheron3wheels802 can you give me a link to what you bought so I can make sure it’s the right thing before I tell you to buy a old to new iPhone adapter plug
This would be better if there wasn't a glare on the screen. Hope you can make the video without a glare. Thanks
