You should take some water there this coming winter and let it freeze in there and test how well it works!

It's nice to see how my area of Scotland once looked before the bulldozers moved in 7 farms have closed

    Very interesting find!
And it’s beautifully built. Think there are some ice houses on big estates hear in cornwall . Shows that the winters must have been much colder than they are now.
We have many fogue’s hear in cornwall, underground storage chambers.
Built by the people that put up the stone circles and burial chambers.
    Similar idea really.👍

Great videos. You guys should check out the Cults Mines in Fife. Plenty left there. Old equipment all round and remains of the old lime kilns. If you dont want ot go in. The Mines are about 2.5km so be carefull. People have got lost in them before. Ive been in a bit a few times. Being very careful about finding my way back. Ide recommend 3 torches and tell someone you are going. At least so you have plenty of backup

Another Great video showing the old ways of life, find it amazing really what people came up with with nothing like the technology we have now. Things have survived for 100's of years where nowadays roofs blow off of brand new builds.
I have a place i can't find in your videos is the Dalchonzie power station near to Crieff, if look behind it in amongst the trees is a huge deep hole, as of yet no clue as to it's original purpose. Would be good if you could do a video of it.
Keep up the Great Videos, loved the Glamis Motor Extravaganza.

Thank you for bringing us along to see your beautiful country.
Just curious - could you please explain how they would have brought the ice up. Looks so deep. Thank you.
    Be careful. Be safe.

Most likely they would of had a wooden ladder to access the lower section when the ice levels got low within the chamber. The ice would of been cut into manageable sections to carry.

Maybe the main chamber is too steep for most animals (foxes, etc.) to climb back out?
