- Adrian Rush, you challenged me to this I N S A N E song and let me tell you it has definitely been a mountain to climb. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, but I think you'll agree the medieval flavor works nicely. I with I had some bagpipes to add! Or a Scandinavian vocalist. I always loved this song as a kid even though I didn't appreciate all the intricate part writing, music, and lyrics. Let me know what you think of this version of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"! Thanks everyone!

A royal court and townspeople attend a troupe's ballad that tells a tragic tale of their bard with his mirror-lensed lute who was a fine-spirited lad with unique writing that could rival Shakespeare but fell to terrible potions that poisoned his mind and was never seen again. When the kingdom and music troupe saw him, he was barely recognizable, and everyone wept when he walked out of the castle walls.
Remember when thou was young
Thou shone like the sun
Shineth one thou crazy diamond
Now there be a look in thy eyes
Like black holes in thee sky
Shineth on thou crazy diamond
Thou was caught upon thee crossfire of childhood and wealth
Blown on thee steel breeze
Cometh on thou target of faraway laughter
Cometh on thou stranger , thou legend , thou martyr , and shine !
This changes the setting of the album from "Space" to "Library of the Unseen University".
I love it!
>When your cultist friend makes a clean break from the witchuunters.
This sounds like the beginning of a film XD
It exelence!
CRAZYYYY!!!!! ❤❤❤
You are too kind!
Wow great job
The breathwork in Part II on recorder is amazing. You got Gilmour's guitar tremolo fingerwork just right with your interpretation. Amazing work, and I've heard this work interpreted by so many.
Amazing!
🤩love it, thanks 🎶
7:50 Enough said.
Some strategic bagpipery could definitely be nice here, but honestly, it sounds solid as is. Still has a bit of the "otherworldly" feel the original has whilst sounding pretty medieval. Though the piano breaks that illusion somewhat (unless I'm mishearing it and it's actually a hammered dulcimer).
Thank you for the thorough analysis!
These bagpipes drive me crazy. However: Great!
Been waiting for this for.....centuries, it feels like!
Holy... This is absolutely insane. It's much more soothing than the original. I can see myself sitting outside my cozy cottage after work at the farm, drinking some mead, watching as my kids play knights with the others. And I don't even have kids yet. Marvelous job, mate.
Great job
You absolute madman. Well done!
Very well done. I like this one a lot.
Thank you! Cheers Doctor!
You are to be commended for this wonderful interpretation and arrangement of a classic song. It is ideal music to relax too. Well done and keep up the good work.
Thank you kindly Donny! I found it relaxing as well. This was one of my favorites as a teen.
OMG ...
I wondered what this would sound like since synthesizers were involved.
I've seen you do video game themed music, so I would totally love to see you do Jump Up Superstar someday!
Hey Emanuel! That is one jazzy request but I think it would be a blast to do. I'll add it to the que :D
@@theyoungmarshjones Oh wow, thanks! Looking forward to see it someday!
can i use this in a game project im doing for studying purposes?
Yes of course! Feel free :)
@@theyoungmarshjones thank you very much
Lute stairway to heaven? seriously is no one trying this?
O.M.G. hold that thought! I need to jump on that!
