Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to CZcams videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. Lots of love, Man Moth.
Love it mate, may have to have a dabble on one. Thanks once again for all the uploads
Cheers Man Moth. Hope the phonics project is going well too.
Man.... thank YOU SO MUCH for all your efforts. It's so appreciated mate.
Man Moth, I salute you - ive used your collection for years, you're the best 👌
You're doing God's work. ❤️
The bit where Karl can't explain the deaf girl story and just gives Ricky another fact instead KILLS me. "The intellectual equivalent of running away" such a brilliant line by Steve 😅
Also Steve’s line “Tits”
It’s such a good line that Ricky even used it in his stand up, or a variation, where he says “that’s the theological equivalent of saying ‘look over there, there’s a monster’” then pretends to run off, when speaking about god and the “he moves in mysterious ways” get out of clause 😂
An underrated moment that Ricky and Steve don’t pick up on is “she was having an argument with her mum… which I don’t get that… how do they (deaf people) do that”. I love the idea of a deaf person having an argument confusing Karl.
instead of a song at my funeral, i would like any 50 min episode from these 3!
That would be so f***** weird
@@jackbicknell4711more like poignant and unique
Whenever you’ve had a crap day…. getting home, sitting in your pants with a tall glass of wine listening to these three really lifts the mood. Blessings to all!
Damn, I know exactly what you mean
Switch the glass of wine for a J and a cup of tea and you’ve got my vote
Rickys reaction to "its not his volt " is cracks me up evertime and ive been listening to these for 12 years 😂
33:33 Lol I love how Karl says "ages ago" even when he's talking about his own childhood.
1970s?
17th century?
and even before that which is YONKS ago...
@@roccoxxxx1 ages ago, when everything was all mental and different
@@mustafam5567 yep.
I listened to these for years non stop and have only just come back to them after about 18 months...still remember every episode word for word, got me through some tough times these guys talking rubbish lol
I have been listening to these on the internet for about 9 years and still laugh out loud :)
+jah dub glad I'm not the only one
Kimberley-Tybee Golding-Tomter I am on my........ fuck I don't know how many times I've listened to these but just like you it's every night now for several years or I can't get to sleep and they never get old
Haha I was wondering how long I would be listening to these for, it's been 6 months. I think I could easily listen to them for a few years more 😂
I was in sixth form when I started and I'm 27 now, so that's about 10 years. Still so funny
Kimberley-Tybee Golding-Tomter I know, you think after listening this many times they’d get old but I burst out laughing still :)
Ricky - "You can't just breathe via the mind, it's a physical process..."
Karl - "Maybe I'm special but I can do little breaths..."
NO YOU CAN'T TAKE LITTLE BREATHES WITHOUT MOVING YOUR RIBCAGE
Eric Hardee PLAY A RECORD
Eric Ha
The great irony of it is, Karl IS 'special' :P
E-Rizzle McInerny yeah but... well I read it
June 2021. Still listening to very little else on CZcams. I hope they know how much joy they have given the world.
love it when Ricky finally understands the clue "it's not his volt"
Yacine Daghmoum lol that gets me everytime, favourite part of the episode
Yacine Daghmoum it stops him in mid sentence:.)
has me in stitches every time. i actually wait with baited breath for it
i love his laugh so much, my god they make me so happy
30:04
Steve saying "Stigmata" cracks me up every time.
sobchak1
exactly, karl can't control whether or not he can get tickets! he also can't control the quality of performances at the concerts!
I can't say Gabriel Byrne's name without doing it the way Steve does. No-one gets why I do it, and it's too complicated to explain :)
@@Glozboy22 Just how often does Gabriel Byrne crop up in your conversations?
@@matthewbowen517 You'd be surprised!
There was a series remake of war of the worlds recently. Not too bad. It has a few famous faces in it. The lady from Downton Abbey, as well as *Gabriel Byrne.*
Steve’s voice: *War of the worlds featuring Gabriel Byrne.*
See. It’s that easy. He’s everywhere.
I LOVE the way Steve says "you HAVIN A LAUGH!" here - 14:48
I like when Ricky describes the setting of Devil Went Down to Georgia as “New Orleans or sommat”
Clue is somewhere in the title haha
ive listened to these at least 50 times each and still cant get the rockbusters answers
I got just ander half of all the Rockbusters first time round.. I feel slightly ashamed.. ever so slightly! XD
cryptic...
@@yacinedaghmoum470 "NO IT'S NOT CRYPTIC!! WRONG DOESN'T MEAN CRYPTIC!!"
I'm sad enough that I'm confident enough if you give me any clue, I'd get it immediately 😂😂
Same boat here mate. I'm actually over the moon if I get one right
"They're not called gobblers" 😂
36:46 hidden gem gets me every time
Steve: There's a promo album here with two pigs on the front, I think it's the..
Ricky: ..French and Saunders?
Surprised Ricky didn’t use that to crowbar in Four Non Blondes
Fun fact: Steve says the word 'arbitrary' five times in the space of two minutes:
36:50
36:58
37:04
37:26
38:41
Ricky also says it at the beginning:
1:10
Your comment is so arbitrary.
That's ludicrous.
Man alive.
That is dynamite
What am I supposed to learn from that?
The chat about the Anaconda and the way Ricky interacts with Karl from 18 mins onwards is one of the funniest conversations i've ever heard
Karl used to be so happy in early series 2 and series 1, towards the end even he gets sick of Rockbusters
I know the little snippets of the songs they play so well now, but have no idea what the actual songs sound like
Jacob M-T Surprisingly, they play a lot of really good music on here, introduced me to a lot of great artists.
JUST the way I'm feeeeling!
"to COME BACK AROUND"
@@deadmoney5580 Back when Xfm was good
There are playlists on Spotify with all the xfm songs on. Another Planet by the only ones is my fave that I found coz of this show.
17:49 Karl’s anaconda story that ends with “maybe I’m special but I can do little breaths”. Genius.
I’d never head the word ‘arbitrary’ until I started listening to these.
just counted 5 times in about a minute
Ricky's laugh at Steve's "Next week... Teen Wolf Too!" is priceless... pure glee.
39:03
Thank god for these podcasts man. Really breaks up the monotony and sadness of my life
I discovered XFM/Karl after my husband passed on. Really got me through it.
Keep going 💪
I’ve drawn or painted hundreds of things listening to these for 15 years, it’s still funny to me.
Did you subconsciously draw an orange?
What's art about that?
@@lilme7052 it was the roundest orange even made. I was like a plate with ears.
@@brettpilkington9539 I'm usually drawing a bald little Manc with his mouth open
The bit where Ricky realises what he meant by “it’s not his vault” gets me every time 😂
I swear.....I used to listen to 60's songs all the time, years before I ever knew of Ricky Gervais. And every time 'Twenty four hours from Tulsa' would come on, I would have exactly the same thought as Karl about the song
At 30 mins when Ricky figures out the pun 😂😂
The 'Karl... I can't believe it' at 16:50 is probably my favourite pronunciation by Steve of anything he has ever said. I find myself repeating it constantly when anything vaguely surprising happens.
Alex Webber I say ‘Riiight’ and ‘dynamite’ like Steve does.
Sure. Sure. Go aaawwwweeeeyy
@@thepontiacbandit7874no you don't. Not now. Not ever. You're an idiot. Play a record
Why have i just discovered these 🤦🏼♂️, could have done with these 4 months ago when lockdown started
Bless your soul. Yak and Pilkypodcasts are also great sources.
Also the ‘Ricky Gervais Guide To’ series 👍
I’m so jealous you get to listen to these fresh! Although I’m somewhere between 25-30 cycles through and still love them to death

I'm not 100% sure about the R.E.M. one but reasonably so.
+OmikronWeapon the New Order song might be Close Range? Not 100% on that
I don't believe it is :/
+OmikronWeapon Sounds like Vanishing Point.
+Hideous human Yep that's definitely it
It's Not His Volt is my all time favourite Educating Ricky. The building hilarity in Ricky from 30:00 as he repeats the title before Karl eventually signs off is SO funny.
Same
'I'm just writing this down....don't panic''
Its the noise Ricky makes after Karl says... "I'm guessin' that bit!"
hank82 Eat Knees. Eat Knees.
The subtitles for Ricky are the best because every second word he speaks is basically unintelligible.
I love that matter-of-fact voice Ricky does; "they're not called Gobblers, are they?"
And the way he rolls the r when says "they're called constrrrrictors!"
Or wholey-swallowers
@@capnhawkins THIS.
Love the full radio uploads mate, much appriciated
At 7:45 Steve mentions The Rock.
Little would he know that years later he would direct a film with him.

My
Bobbitty boo it's Karl pilkoids
First rock busters where I knew all three!!!
I never understand why people downvote these videos!
Listening to these again in 2022 and I desperately wish they would do a short series every year because I would kill to hear Karl's thoughts on so many things that have happened in the recent years, pandemic talk, Trump talk, global warming, LGBTQ+ thoughts, his thoughts on everything.
I'm sure you know about it, but he did post lots of vids during the pandemic. Not what you're hoping for, sure, but a little help with the withdrawal.
@@studkickass513 i actually didn't know about this. Thanks homie!
I love Justin Timberriver, one of my favourite artists
It was ages ago when me mam and dad used to go out shopping
1970's ?
That's insane I read this comment exactly as he read this out what are the chances lol
I've still not seen an old man havin a twix
So please I have started to listen to this again! So bored of listen to my music library and old playlists. Even though it is second time around going through all series and episodes I honestly think you can't beat these guys!!! Wish they were not so famous now and everything had become watered down..... Cheers man moth
Bein' in a hall and our dog lickin' ma face
"...and the dog went.. WOSHDA'?!"
The dogs bent, he's bent
One of the greatest lines ever spoken!! This episode is brilliant
This shambles is an absolute breath of fresh air after the emotional maturity that is after life. I'm now listening to these to cheer myself up after each episode.
'bizarre things about being deaf' 'yeah love that book' ahahahahaha
another year, thanks mothy
I know you guys will appreciate this fact: 5 times. FIVE times Ricky repeats ‘It’s not his volt’
Usually skip the adds, but this one was the David Brent movie, so had to watch it through.
“Why don’t you agree to disagree and we’ll see who survives if you crash land in the jungle.”
This ep and ep 9 have amazing endings! So sudden and hilarious
The venom with which Karl says LEAVE IT to Steve at 16:30 always gets me haha
16:28
Never noticed that before
Karl: Next clue 'C'
Ricky: - and Karl is one of these.
Me: Ha!
"What'd you mean so? What does that so mean? You've given us nothing."
😂
LMAO @ "little breaths"
32:01 The way they both speak at the same time is just glorious.
Got all the rockbusters straight away
Just realised at 17:10, Ricky chucks his banana skin, and gets it in the bin.
Still love these recordings yearssssss later
This is one of those things where I can see why Ricky gets so angry at Karl, The snake thing, Ricky gives him facts that go against his nonsense so he just refuses to take it on-board.
Turbo Albatross Ricky was wrong about the breathing thing tho. There's 2 ways you ca nbreathe. Expanding your rib cage, and pushing down your rif.

Yerrr havin a lafffffff!!!
This was the my moment Ricky finally loses it with Karl, and the beginning of 'an idiot' and the end of 'the K man'. It's the Anaconda story. Yo o up can hear it in Ricky's voice. It clicks - this man's an idiot. Beautiful.
50:23 one of my favourite bits ever
They’re not called wholey swallowers 😂😂 brilliant!
Nov 2019 still brilliant
Somehow all feels right in the world with these.
46:17 love Rickey's reaction to Karl saying theres another feature
Arran Bradstock Rick, were you not at the planning meeting?
ricky won the fight btw
Still listening in 2020!
2021
Ha JT was the only one I got straight away lol
35:04
R : "...I'm gonna.. I'm gonna die... *WHAT??!!*"

K : "...we..anyway, what are we doin'?.."
R : *Erupts* "WHA.. *HE GOT CONFUSED!?!*"

"Just put a question mark next to that"
Love the name man moth, karls perception is class
His perception is the best! Cheers Mark!
Man Moth no worrys, been listening to your series one xfm the last few days, only one still on youtube, thanks for the uploads :)
Wow I think I've clocked why I like Karl so much
mark gates
23:05 Karl: "If it were me I simply wouldn't get killed by a python, but I guess I'm just built different"
I thought for a second that there was accidentally an episode uploaded twice, but soon found out that this episode and last episode were just identically started lol
THERE'S NO EXPLANATION SO WHY IS THIS TEACHING ME SOMETHING THEN!!
electric eels have 400 volts in em..so ..
James Kenworthy Oh is this the running away?
"What do you mean SO?! What does that SO mean?!"
@@capnhawkins I love that line.
I'm gonna say that next time I don't have the answer for something.

Bizarre Things About Being Deaf.
34:19 This might be one of the most joyful moments from these shows.
It's SO arbitrary. God he says that about five times like he just learnt the damn word.
Bolb And nepotism in a previous ep
I always think that too.
Can't believe I actually got all 3 rockbusters...
Lol me too
'Somethinger' 🤣🤣 , ahhh, Karl always making up new words 🤣 .wait , that was Ricky 🤔....
39:28 sounds like the kind of prizes Karl use to give out when he had that mobile disco
I can't unhear "arbitrary" now lads, thanks for that....
I've never heard anyone else ever say it.
Take a shot everytime Stephen says "Arbitrary"
I love how despite the fact that Karl and Steve are very close in age - Karl thinks of Steve as a child, because of how close Steve still is to his parents.
Karl asks Steve if his mum and dad would be happy if he was getting crushed at the Bruce Springsteen concert, as if Karl’s talking to a young child 😂
The first few seconds of this episode and the one prior are basically, exactly the same.
Does anyone else pause the videos and hunt down the tracks they play for the full experience?
"The clue is-"
"Karl is one of these."
Steve: ...an album with two pigs on the front...
Ricky: French and Saunders?
Must be 500th time listening and only just heard that one! 37:14
