    We have the exact same setup, we have a 2024 Accolade 37m Xl and a 2023 trail hawk 4xe, we love our rig and our toad. I build e-bikes also and the electric ones are pretty darn good.

      Sweet! What breaking system to you have on the 4xe? We have an RVi3 and ran a charge line to the 12V, but had an issue with getting the new Jeep out of neutral on our first tow. Just curious what you use with the 4xe, and if you have had issues.
      Oh, and you BUILD e-bikes? How cool!

      @@ClassCBroads We are using the air force one breaking system. It is a more permanent setup than the RVi3 but we like how easy setup and take down is and the smooth breaking. We use the road master night hawk tow bar with no issues at all. I too like to buy new vehicles every few years but figure it’s worth the investment. The 4xe can be a bit “sensitive” at times and not want to go into neutral for us also. We just turn it off and on and it usually works. We love our Jeep and Accolade so no complaints so far.

    So happy the vehicle situation worked out!! Every day is an adventure :) Love your energy. I've been following your journey since your beginning and we're looking forward to following a similar path when I retire. We are researching RVs, have settled only on class C. How are you finding the diesel engine care and maintentance vs. the gas engine you had previously? I know nothing about diesel and that causes me a bit of anxiety thinking about a super C, but the super Cs have a lot more capacity. Thank you!

      I think maintenance will depend on how you travel. Neither of us are gearheads so we don't do any of the maintenance ourselfes. For us, we get the rig serviced about the same amount as the regular C, but it is much more expensive with the Super C. I would say that if you don't need the OCCC or tow capcity, then a gasser is probably just as good. Similar mpg. Btw, here's a blog I wrote on why we chose our particular rig and comparing our Super C to our regular C:

    Those new ebikes look nice. We struggle transporting ours with our 5th wheel. They stay home a lot. Worry they will get stolen at our site as we have them on a bike rack off the back. Hassle to bring them if we don’t end up using them much. Wish we had the collapsible kind. We got our in the pandemic. Highest prices an smallest selection.

      Theft is always a concern. When we had our first Class C, we would sometimes keep the bikes outside once we got to a location. We had two bike locks so that we would lock them to each other and something like a picnic table too. At least that was some deterrent. We also always keep the battery inside so that someone would probaby figure out pretty quickly that they just tried to steal a 55-lb hunk of metal that will need an expensive battery to make it worth much. Hope you get it figure out and are able to ride more! 🚲🚲 Don't regret pandemic decisions either. Life is short.

    We have been looking at those Lectric foldable bikes. I really would like a follow up review in a few months. I believe they would fit in the back of our truck with no problem.

      So far, so good. We'll keep ya posted! Btw, Lectric has all the folded dimensions online so you can measure to see if one might a particular vehicle.

    I’m determined to figure out a safe way to take my ebike on my class c. It sits at home all winter. Stupid! Osho Brewery! One of my favorites!

      Yes, bike storage is big pain! Good luck. O.S.H.O is probably our favorite Phoenix metro brewery. Dogs everwhere....the bacon jam on their pretzels...and of course, those darn $8 pitchers :-)🍻

    We have the same RV, do you think the bikes would fit into the bays? Also, we have a Grand Cherokee L Overland as our Toad. Went with the Road Master base plate that I installed it myself. The Jeep has several steps and safety features that need to be shut off in order to flat tow it so make sure you read the manual. We tow a Jeep Wrangler as well and that is a bit easier to get ready to tow...

    • @ClassCBroads
      @ClassCBroads  Před 7 měsíci

      No such luck on bike storage in the outdoor bays. Not even close. We did try to research whether ANY foldable bikes would fit in the outdoor bays and did not find any. If you find a bike that would fit, we would love to know.
      We are glad to be back in the Jeep family (we towed a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk before). That's impressive that you installed the base plate yourself. We paid around $2K for the base plate and plug to get installed so that we could tow it.

    Hey congratulations on getting your Grand Cherokee 4xE. I got a Wrangler Sahara high altitude 4xE back in 2021 to pull behind my Winnebago class c. Well turns out the Winnebago didn't really like pulling that extra weight so I ended up upgrading to the 2024 Jayco Seneca Prestige 37l. That's how I found you guys, searching for tips on my little more than month old RV. Learning a lot from you guys and it's appreciated. Quick question, where did you get your little fence that you keep outside your RV? I'm going to go on a long road trip in a month or so and I've got four cats and a a lab that probably want to hang out outside. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work.
