Great job. Just finished Artesania Santa Maria, looking for something a bit more challenging. Looks like this might do the trick. Is she single or double planked?
Hi Charlie. I'm hoping you can help me. My dad is working on this model and he is currently on the masts. He noticed that in the plans, near the top of the mast there is a small zero (the zero with the line thru it), followed by a larger number 1. He was asking me what it meant and there is no reference to it in the instructions. I know you worked on this model a few years ago, but I'm hoping you will still know what it means. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi Chris. That small zero followed by a larger 1 is the symbol for a 1mm brass rod. You a meant to bend the rod into a U shape and fit it upside down, but instead I fitted 2mm eye pins in those locations. They are the start of a rigging line. If you have any other problems, happy to help. All the best
Hi . As a first time builder I suggest you become a member of the Nautical Research Guilds Model Ship World, its for free. As a beginner I found it to be extremely helpful, and as a precaution be careful not to bit off more than you can chew. I would encourage you to choose a beginners kit at first and this will determine whether this hobby is for you. Sorry I can't help you with a build video, but maybe someone on the NRG forum may know of one. And finally- good luck.
Hi Bartosz Firstly I built my ship from a kit and secondly may I suggest you become a member of Nautical Research Guilds Model Ship World, its for free. After becoming a member go to HMS Bounty build logs and there you will find heaps of information. I hope this has been helpful ,and all the best. Charlie.

Is there a “how to build” video..I have never tackled a timber model before...or should I just give it away.
