சோமேஸ்வரரின் குடமுழுக்கு விழா!
வருகின்ற வைகாசி மாதம் 26ஆம் நாள் 09.06.2022 வியாழக்கிழமை காலை நடைபெற உள்ளது. இக்கோயில்லானது கி.பி 11ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் 985 ல் ராஜ ராஜ சோழனது சிற்றரசன் குணமதாசன் என்னும் குறுநில மன்னனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. மேலும் இக்கோவிலில் சோழர் காலத்து கல்வெட்டுகள் மற்றும் சிற்பங்கள் அழியாமல் வைத்து பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இக்கோயில் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளைக் கடற்ந்ததில், கோவில் சுவர்கள் மற்றும் தூண்கள் சேதமடைய தொடங்கினர். ஆகையால் இக்கோயில் கலைநயத்துடன் ஏழு ஆண்டுகள் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இப்பொழுது இக்கோயிலின் குடமுழுக்கு விழா நடைபெற உள்ளது.
This temple was built in the 11th century AD in 985 AD by Raja Raja Chola's allied king named Gunamadasan. Inscriptions and sculptures from the Chola period are also preserved in the temple. Over the course of a thousand years, the temple walls and pillars began to deteriorate. Therefore the temple was renovated with art for seven years. Now the canopy ceremony of this temple is about to take place on 09.06.2022 Thursday morning.
