Instead this was a kid with the voice of a 30 year older, a kid artistically so advanced, people in the industry for 20-30-40 years became literally shaken into disbelief about what she was capable of doing. And, most of all, even though she had already been making people cry since she was 7, what became very clear was the emotional connection she was making to anyone who heard her sing. The soulfulness in her voice transformed into a form of pure love and it reached out and touched people's hearts to such a degree people began to wonder, "Who is she?" She became aware of what was going on but it didn't make her 'change' anything. She remained Angelina and continued to be a very genuine person singing from her soul and loving every minute of it. She has been quoted as saying she goes off to somewhere when she sings, a special place which is very beautiful and feels love all around her. What has become 'crazy', she can be singing a song with her eyes closing often when she goes to that place, then look at someone in the audience and wave to them and then snap back into that place again. That propensity to do that over and over again reminds us that she is very human but also a very gifted human. Sorry I went on so long but we all have a lot to say about our, daughter, niece, granddaughter, great granddaughter and great, great granddaughter. Yes, she is family to all those who love her. Since the age of 3 she had constantly been blustering her mom to put her on to the show, or actually to the AGT show, because like she said, she wanted to sing for that Simon guy 🙂 She did when she was 14 and got the Golden buzzer for her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. It was the America's Got Talent The Champions, where only previous winners from the regional scene had already won. I know that you reacted to that performance 1 month ago, though you didn't get to see the buzzer moment. In interviews Angelina has said many times that she has absolutely no nerves when singing in front of people. She has actually said that THAT is where she thrives and where she feels most at home and comfortable. In other social settings she can come across as very shy and modest, but as soon as the music starts she is in a lane of her own. The judge that you commented on is Omer Bhatti, a crazy good Norwegian dancer. He actually lived with Michael Jackson for a year or so when he was young, and learned to dance. Very nice reaction. I stumbled upon this beautiful soul a little over a year ago and I got lost in her genuine goodness, as well as the love she exudes through her musical genius. She speaks from and to the heart, and I am always touched. She will be 18 very soon and has remained what she began so many years ago in Norway, a truly joyous soul dedicated to bringing joy and love to the world. And with such a glorious voice from heaven, why not.
As this show progressed, so did Angelina. She got better with every song. Her second performance was during the judge's cuts, so she sang acapella in front of the judges and other child performers. Even though she is the littlest, when she starts to sing you can see gloom and doom on the faces of the other kids. That alone makes it well worth the watch.
She has an amazing ability to reach into our hearts and minds. I am an old man and have experienced many tragic events in recent years. Found Angelina by accident on CZcams. Since then I listen to her every day. Angelina is the right medicine for me. I am convinced that many more people would feel so much better by taking part in Angelina as a person, and through her wonderful voice.
This was her first public performance....a national contest with a large studio audience and being filmed for national TV. There couldn't be more pressure on a 7 year old who had been begging her mom to enter her in NGT for several years, and she showed no signs of nervousness at all. In later interviews she has stated that she is never nervous on stage and once said she was actually surprised when she got on stage for this song and was not nervous. I believe this was the first time she went shoeless. I read that her mom, Sara, bought her a nice pair of shoes for NGT and Angelina then told her she had decided to perform barefoot.

@@Sweetpea4575 All the interviews I have seen Angelina has shown great composure and confidence especially considering her age from aged 7 /8 .she has done interviews shortly after winning NGT , also aged 9 with ann lindmo ? the barefoot story interview. her interview before performing shield at aged 12 her interviews after AGT aged 13 . etc etc .not many of that age would be so composed and confident imo .
Each parent should encourage their children in whatever the child chooses to do. So very sad when parents force some activity on a child. I believe each of us have talents we are born with. Angelina found her passion at a very young age and we can tell she truly enjoys music. I would say she has an unconditional love of music and wants to share that love with the world.

Her progression over the 6 months of the competition was incredible. As good as this is, each of the remaining 3 songs she sang was a big improvement over the one before & when she reached the Finals, Imo, she created her 1st of many Masterpieces when she covered the classic jazz standard, Summertime. It boggles the mind the technical prowess she had achieved by the time she was 8 yo & she continues to improve to this day.

For everyone who thinks "why does a 7 year old girl sing a song like that??? " Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Audions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on CZcams before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Thank you for showing the intro. Some reactors skip it and their viewers miss seeing how precious she is. I love it when she says "if the judges say 'yes', I will be very happy. I will be like 'aaah'". Then the soundman asks her if she knows how to use a mic. He didn't know about her drop the mic moment at 18 months, in one of the videos her family recorded. As for her performance, the looks on the faces of the judges pretty much sums up what I thought. Plus how many kids even use vibrato, and hers is in perfect sync with the beat. I don't think you need to worry about copyright on her NGT perfomances. This one instantly went viral and has been around the world more times than Norwegian Air.

It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on CZcams before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. Thank you for showing the intro. Some reactors skip it and their viewers miss seeing how precious she is. I love it when she says "if the judges say 'yes', I will be very happy. I will be like 'aaah'". Then the soundman asks her if she knows how to use a mic. He didn't know about her drop the mic moment at 18 months, in one of the videos her family recorded. As for her performance, the looks on the faces of the judges pretty much sums up what I thought. Plus how many kids even use vibrato, and hers is in perfect sync with the beat. I don't think you need to worry about copyright on her NGT perfomances. This one instantly went viral and has been around the world more times than Norwegian Air.

If you considered this performance a dope, you should try "Summertime" (in the finals of this same talent show, a few months later, at 8yo) and "What a Difference a Day Makes" at 8yo too. These two are so impressive and beautiful, already in another level compared to this "Gloomy Sunday". A real double-dope...
