    Nice video, John. We picked up our 2020 Overland Explorer CAMP-X spring of 2020 and have used it extensively all spring, summer, and now beginning of fall and we love it. We had a Four Wheel Camper for 3 years and, while it was great and introduced us to slide-in pickup campers, this is a definite step up. The heater, water heater, battery management system/solar controller and monitoring system are all top notch and what I would use if I were building a camper from the ground up. We also no longer deal with the condensation issues we had in the previous aluminum-framed camper. Overland Explorer uses composite walls that are R-8 rated and the pop-up walls are even R-4. Last weekend we were out in 70F degree day and 35F degree night with the thermostat set to 55F degrees and furnace didn't kick on until about 5am.
    Love the clean white interior of these panels and roof. No styrofoam in the ceiling and can lift up the top putting hands anywhere. 6' 10" inside when popped up, and when the top is down, enough room to keep the bed made which was not an option in our previous. Also, enough room to sit at the dinette with the top down. Can't say enough good things about it.

    If anyone is interested in more pictures and discussion, there are a couple threads on Expedition Portal forum about these Overland Explorer CAMP-X slide-in pickup campers.

    Thx for showing your camper. What is the ballpark price for a Camper X?
    I couldn't find it on their site. One has to request it.

    any issues with condensation? a lot of other pop ups tend to have condensation issues.

      There is a couple pieces of trim that collect condensation. I've just put some foam tape over top to help prevent it from forming. Other than that its pretty good.

    Hi John - hope you see this- Im wondering what you used for the Thermal Wrap on the inside?

    • @johnbrown8168
      @johnbrown8168  Před 3 lety +1

      Check out my other video. It shows what I did in more detail. New campers come standard with it. If you plan on using the camper in the winter your going to have to add to the thermal barrier. The powder coated aluminum transfers heat extremely well. Overall the camper is very well insulated though. I typically use more propane to run my BBQ than keeping the camper warm when I'm out on weekend trips.

      @@johnbrown8168 I saw your other video- What I'm looking for is material, brand or where you found the additional thermal wrap? I have a new 2021 Camp X and spent the last weekend in the snow- Id like to add some additional thermal to cover all areas like you did. Thank you

      @@kyleleach1987 norwestco in Calgary AB. Any industrial supplier should be able to source it for you. It comes on a large roll so they just cut off the dimensions I requested.

    What's the cost range for that camper?

    • @johnbrown8168
      @johnbrown8168  Před 4 lety +2

      40k Canadian. I'd imagine they would be closer to 30 in usd. A new 4 wheel camper in Canada would be in that price range.
