Then when I was 6yrs old staying at my grandmother's home. While a house full of family members slept at night. He was creeping down the stairs molesting me while I slept on the sofa. Then when I was 12yrs old by a man that was my mother's boyfriend. Thank God that I survived it all. The hurt and pain and not feeling like I was being protected. Then as a young woman in my early to mid 20's. I was involved in 2 very abusive relationships. It was physical, mental and verbal. The 1st guy was the father of my 2nd child. The last time he assaulted me I was 2mths pregnant with our son. But he didn't care. He would beat on me and verbally say things when he wanted sex. He beat my ass so bad. Had his hands around my neck. Choking me out. Knocked me to the floor. Banging the back of my head to the floor. While my 2 1/2 year old daughter slept in the bed. All I could do was pray to God. Asking him to spare my life. The bastard took my clothes and shoes so I couldn't leave. It was very cold outside with a lot of snow. But soon as i thought he was in a deep sleep. I grabbed my daughter. Put on her snowsuit. Grabbed my coat. Still in my nightgown and sleepers. Walked to the subway. People looking at me. The worker at the subway looked at me. And asked me if I was okay? I told her what happened. She asked for my address. She called the police. Yes I pressed charges on his ass. He was arrested. We went to court. He did time and he had to go to the house of ruth. Then the next year. I was in another abusive relationship. This 1 was worse than the first. I'm saying all this because it all made me the woman. No the strong woman I am today. I'm about to turn 50 years old. God has brought me through so terrible situations. He held me hand, protected me, guided me and brought me through. It was the last date of tour. With the litigation still ongoing it’s a lot harder for her to predict how often she tours. So she was just saying it’s her last time for now!
