@@Ansytea ohh, well he did voice a few NPCs in genshin before. For the second zhongli quest I think... so not surprising, would be pleased to find out if it's really him.
This video made me realized that Alhaitham actually excels in the art of "unintentional comedy". He's so funny without meaning to be funny 😂 it's great
Al haitham, the laziest, energy saving, feeble scholar intentionally going out, using all muscle in his body to walk into shop, meticulously choose a furniture that his roomate hates just to piss him off. Sigma grindset
It's so funny that Kaveh yells at Alhaitham for having no sense or taste in interior design when the ENTIRE HOUSE is furnished with the rug pattern Alhaitham designed! 🤣
If everyone actually got over his 'rude' personality (I don't think he's rude, he just doesn't care too much, but i think he's polite enough) they would see that he's just a funny silly guy, even if it's unintentional
to some extent, I think he tries to be a bit ruder than necessary, because it means people don't bother him. I wish I could do that sometimes (I get overly polite because I fear criticism) He can be nice, I think, since he got that one NPC character in the Archon Quest in Aaru Village to talk to us about the Village Keepers.
I think my issue with Al-Haitham isn't so much that he's rude, but that he is so utterly self contained that it comes off as blunt. Everything he does is ultimately for the sake of himself and his own interests, which makes him something of a selfish fair weather friend and one of those people who believes everyone who isn't as skilled is just not working as hard or they're inherently flawed in a way that he isn't. For example, he claims that Kaveh was an idiot who got scammed by a medical charity despite Sumeru having free healthcare. Forgetting of course that this isn't the case for Eremites and Desert dwellers, because that's not something that would concern him on a personal level. He's not cruel by any stretch, but intelligence doesn't preclude ignorance
@@ButterflyScarlet Is he wrong tho? Aaru vilage has it's own doctor that also free, Maruf just hasn't confidence yet. Caravan Ribat is part of Sumeru Rain Forest. Eremites basically a bandit, a mob that would steal, except when they decided to work as a guide, guard, or corps of thirty. So... yeah... I think Kaveh is being scammed again 😅 Also I don't think Alhaitham is selfish, atfirst he refuse traveller to help him looking for Dori, he also not put anyone even himself in danger in the Archon quest, he's not purposely putting anyone in danger like some Cavalry Captain from Mondstad we knew lmao. His story quest explained him a lot tbh :D
@@gannmegann Yes he is wrong, because let me clarify (and this is quite long, I am in the middle of a thesis and my brain won't Stop): The desert is a huge place. Look at the map, look at where Aaru village is and then compare it to say the Tanit camp. Even if one place has a doctor is that supposed to be enough for every single person living there? I dare you to walk into a hospital and inform them that everyone working can go home, we only need one dude in charge to deal with every medical problem for the entire region. Make it make sense. Second, and this will delve into themes of prejudice and stereotyping so buckle up, it's kinda fucked that we're meant to assume that every Desert dweller (aside from the "good" ones that the game tells us are the "good" ones) are all morally corrupt bandits. Even the Mongols and Vikings, despite pop culture depictions, weren't exclusively opportunistic raiders. Ostensibly I know it's because we need random encounter enemies like the Treasure Hoarders and hilichurls, but the TH aren't a "nation" and the hilichurls get a lot of sympathetic depictions where we are supposed to question our treatment of them despite their monstrous appearance. The idea that the Eremites are inherently bad and undeserving of help or the benefit of the doubt is uh......yikes. Never mind the fact that they are the only nation in the game exclusively filled with dark-skinned characters. I could delve way deeper, but my point here is this: even if Kaveh was scammed, the explanation given shows a distinct lack of care for the issue beyond "Sumeru has free healthcare, duh". Al-Haitham is an intelligent man, there are plenty of reasons why something can be a scam beyond "the person who asked was from the Desert and they shouldn't be trusted, that's just objective fact". It's not logical, and coming from a dude whose whole deal is that he thinks everything through, it's downright lazy. *TLDR:* I personally do consider Al-Haitham to be selfish, but I do not think he is unlikable or a bad person. I think he is self-contained and largely uninterested in other people unless it pertains to his own interests. So depending on whether you want to explain this through a Watsonian or Doylist lens, Al-Haitham is either not immune to the biases of the Rainforest where he was born (an interesting bit of character development) or the devs used cultural biological essentialism as a narrative shortcut (kinda lazy).

So my existence that did nothing but scream "You're so useless that I, one who never even pays attention to you, still performs better than everyone else." Is a great trigger point to them. So many times they'd start quizzing me on the current and future topics just to "put me in my place" and get me to pay attention, yet I answer all correctly and even correct them on shit, and all they do is get annoyed further and say "You're just not allowed to" and either give up or take my book away. @@ReptilianTeaDrinker Ah, _those_ art teachers. A lot of art teachers are very traditionalist and some are against anime/manga. I myself believe started out in the traditional art path of realistic fruit and life studies and do encourage learning about them but I also think anime/manga is also art and disagree with your teacher's handling. Teachers can make or break a students love for any subject. I've had teachers that ruined my favourite subjects as well as teachers that made me fall in love with a subject I hated. Just because someone is knowledgeable in their field doesn't mean they'll be a good teacher as teaching is it's own skill. Pride alone is not good for teaching as in my opinion good teachers come from a place of love and learn to understand how the child learns not you. With pride the teacher isn't open to learn things from the childs point of view. I can relate to your tale, I was deemed a gifted child only to skip school an insane amount in middle school that caused me to fail a lot of subjects and then I was sent to a specialized school with a wonderful teacher that helped me to not skip school and coincidentally I became an overachiever (partially from lots of self studying.)

I see you everywhere in every single video about Kaveh and Alhaitham
(But all your comments are very nice, especially this one)
0:19 When rajkumar says "self-study" I swear that was cwrl wheezer for a sec
HELP
3:27 3:53
WHY DOES HE KEEP COMING FOR HIS PAINTING LIKE THAT😭😭😭
He would just not let that painting go
Man really said "The fuck is with the painiting? Get rid of it."
His 'boring' personality made him funnier imo😭
"See ya."
"You're not leaving today until you explain what happened back at Siraj's secret base!" 😠
I really enjoyed Ilyas’s story quest. Hopefully Alhaitham will get his own dedicated story quest in the future.
Alhethiem is a truther with big words instead of cursing.
"You're even further from the truth." is basically "Are you fucking dumb? Like for real? Are you mentally not well??"
Basically how I see him.
i love his moments of flustering hehe

This weather is perfect ... for doing nothing at all
- Alhaitam
TRUE!
2:20 ARE WE FORGETTING THE "I JUST NEED TO SUCK IT" LINE??😭😭
I love this sm
Whoever came up with the idea of creating Alhaitham deserves a damn big raise and lots of hugs, he is adorable
2:20 I just need to… WHAT!? (Same same)
Original line from the game.
" I just need to suck it up"
2:46 BRO 😭😭😭😭😭
"I have lost" "Yes." as an exchange at 2:37 is giving big Meguka energy, for those familiar...
I need a compilation of alhaitham saying "however". mans says it every other sentence I swear
It endears me that even in his voicelines in the menu and teapot he doesn't care for the traveller at all (at least not to the point of fanservice which is fine but ooc sometimes)
it's so funny how he doesn't give a shit except for like 2 ppl
2:32 c a l m d o w n
Those cuts, i was dying. I love Alhaitham and Kaveh so much.
-You've come~ („ಡωಡ„)
3:41 my tea went through my nose i snorted so hard
-I have lost.
-Yes.
Lmfao
The english dub for the Sumeru quests is just beyond amazing. Sure the other dubs may sound the least cringy but the eng dubs manage to give the characters more, well, character. Especially Alhaitham just sounding far sassier than he is in the jp dub, both are great ofc, but Sassy Alhaitham is just so much more enjoyable to watch.
Let'a also not forget Rajkumar's VA because damn, that man was definitely having a blast voice acting his character.
And then there was elliot gindi
Why do ppl believe that just because it's Japanese the dub is good. Also this is a Chinese game lol
I love how half of this video is just Kaveh and Haitham, unlike the actual story quest itself 😂
0:55 THIS IS SO FUNNY WHY DOES HE SOUND LIKE THAT
3:41 ONLY THING YOU CAN KEEP STRAIGHT
OOOOOOH HELP IM DYING 😭😭😭😭😭
Bro the cuts ARE KILLING ME 💀💀💀💀💀
Ilyas: “my head hurts so bad, I feel like I’m freaking dying I’m gonna pass out”
Alhaitham: since that’s not related, we’ll put that aside for now
😭😭😭
Why is 1:06 unintentionally one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen
i relate to alhaitham so much. i used to be like "oh people think i'm intimidating because i'm smart but if they get to know me they'll know i'm not that bad", but now i just don't care. i'm an introvert and if coming off as intimidating is what it takes for people to back off, i'll take it. just like him, when i have a job to do, i show up and do it; i'm not there to make friends.
i love how this is both a good summary and that i don't feel the quest has been spoiled for me
The see ya gets me every time 🤣🤣🤣
Ilyas's "You've come" made me crack up when i played the quest, my humor is broken
Rajkumar was the real mvp of this quest
Alhaitham is another great example of autistic rizz.... much like Albedo
"See ya" (derogatory)
Alhaitham is aggravating
but also very entertaining, I love it
he just kept coming back for that painting xD
but the line "You'll have to blame that on my financial freedom" had me rolling under the table
''WHAT HAVE YOU DONE"
...calm down
So it's gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss Al Haitham
the random close ups of alhaithams face make me laugh so hard
-I HAVE LOST D:
-*Yes.*
I want Alhaitam and Kaeya interacting please God of Gacha make it happen 😭😭
It happened 👍
He's honestly so unironicly relatable i just can't😭
2:37 I have lost 😞 YES 👹
"Lol (sarcastic), bye." if it was a person. 😂
nah cause when he took us to his house without telling us it was his house we were going to 😭
like sir are you kidnapping us or smth 😭😭
Damn he is not letting that painting situation go 💀
Cyno: Al Haitham. More like they Al Hate him!!
At 00:19 the way he said acting grand sage reminds me of " NOOOO MOOOORE FORTNITE??"
“Acting” “Grand” “Sage” Alhaitham.
IM DYING LMAOOOO
I have lost😔
*yes* 💀💀
The "No (derogatory)" in the thumbnail has me wheezing
"And they were roommates"
2:20 - me to alhaitham :D
2:23 - his response D:
0:25 Why aren't we ignoring this? It's too funny.
I love this man so goddamn much. He’s so unintentionally funny with how sarcastic he is. Not to mention him and Kaveh is one of my most favourite ships in the entire game.
also Rajkumar’s VA did a perfect job lmfao he managed to sound so much like an old man
this man is unintentionally so funny
you captured best parts 👌 i would love to see more content like this
I had a windblume one planned but was lazy
@@theardussy i absolutely loved windblume, the 'in a nutshell' type of video could be awesome, but i understand how many time and effort editing requires so that's oks! ig i'm looking forward to next patch then
he's so unintentionally funny , i love him
"Are you a friend of his?"
"More so these two."
I dunno why, but that line had me like crazy when I did the quest lmao. He's resigned, but he accepts it.
this is how my parents see me when i talk back and use words longer than three syllables
so much of haitham's story quest was so funny, and for what 😭 I was literally clutching my chest in the first minute bc the voice actor for that one NPC is fucking SHEOGORATH from the elder scrolls 😭😭😭 this whole quest had me in stitches from the jump
Loved this, wish you would do more for each character 😭😭
This was such a great super cut of his story quest please make more
4:13 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
you HAVE to make more of this! im so lazy i cant read every single dialogue in the quests anymore. please ill just watch all your videos they were a thrill
Guy really said "blame me for being rich instead"
ive heard ,,big ass" not ,,biggest" 😭😭 1:39
holy cow the english voice for the entire quest is .... agressive
al haitham story quest in a few lines
"no."
"ur wrong"
"huh?"
"i dont care"
"calm down"
"see ya"
Istg the intro npc were voiced soo well 😭
