- Over 15 minutes of bumpers and a few commercials recorded from the Philippine broadcast of Cartoon Network. The PH still used the Hong Kong feed around this time which explains the Chinese voice overs but it still has ads that are unmistakably Filipino (e.g. Jollibee, Glorietta Mall event).

Their Philippine-exclusive magazine is partially lost I tell you, Cartoon Network World is slightly taller than KZones, it was published by Atlas Publishing.
I remember having a Cartoon Network magazine noong 2000's (I forgot the specific year). Nasalba ko ata kasama ng 5 or 6 random issues ng Kzone (kaso nasa baul sa Cavite :'( ) may sort of poster din na kasama sa magazine na iyon

That "Sneezing Magician" English dub seems to be intended for Southeast Asia only (Seven Network in Australia, for example, instead airing its US version "Bob in the Bottle" which was commisioned by Saban International).
Also, the CN Asia version of the promos like "Johnny Bravo" and "Scooby-Doo Where Are You?" original in English are now found (an user from Thailand already had this promos in his 90s CN Asia recordings but it's in Thai, one video itself had a promo snippet of "Ranma 1/2" which even did air on CN Asia back then (I had no idea they really aired it back then)). CN Australia also share these promos (as they were part of Turner Asia-Pacific) but only using one timezone only.

In Thailand, UBC (TrueVisions) used to block South East Asian Commercials on channel such as Cartoon Network Asia but now lifted back on October 2005
In the 90s and early 2000s, Cartoon Network Asia promos from the 90s and early 2000s when the narrator used to said "(Time) AM/PM Hong Kong." After the channel became 24 hours and removed TNT/TCM in 2001, they added HK/Sing/Mal which they added Sin (Singapore) and Mal (Malaysia) sign.
For 2 years later in 2003, they added "Korea" sign which South Korea used to have CN Asia region between 2003 - 2006 before the channel became official CN South Korea region. The "HK" sign was removed since 2003.
Wow. This really brings backs memories from decades ago. Sa dalas ng panonood ko ng Cartoon Network noon, naging familiar na nga rin ako sa mga bumpers, like yung kay Benny the Ball ng Top Cat sa simula ng video.
Also, Sleeping Magician! I've been thinking about this commercial for DECADES. I used to watch that noon as a kid. It's a nice departure sa typical Hanna Barbera cartoons na ineere sa network noon.
Lastly, The Mask!! I absolutely loved that show. And yes, I remember that bumper rin. Heheheh

So that's how Asia's pre-Powerhouse era was looks like. My memories with Cartoon Network started with Powerhouse era (TheOrangeToad did a great backup), then ended with New Wave era if I recall correctly. Which reminds me we followed Europe/UK for the white background+blocks idents for some reason until CN City.
I was confused watching the older US promo/commercial clips here at first: so there were outside ads available in the first place, but for Hong Kong they're mostly covered by cable provider's promo then all gone completely. Kinda proud that Hong Kong was the standard timezone for Asian CN.
Now if only Jungle Bells is longer lost media my childhood would be completed...

Unfortunately only Dee Dee's "I wanna be a Pop Star" is found, while other songs like Mojo JoJo's "Silent Night Smelly Night" and Johnny Bravo's Jungle Bells still lost-I still remember the former's lyrics.
The Checkerboard bumpers were replaced by the Powerhouse bumpers 25 years ago in my country.

We got the feed from India sa cable provider namin for a time. It's more or less the same pero ahead sila sa airings ng ilang original shows and of course, mga Indian commercials na pambata. Haha

1:50 - The Sneezing Magician is also known in Japan as "Hakushon Daimaoh", "The Genie Family" internationally and in the US as "Bob in a Bottle" is a 1969 Japanese anime television series centers around a genie and his daughter Akubi-chan in their adventures about laughter and hilarious attics through sneezing, yawning and embarrassments with their human friend Kantarou. This show fits for kids at the time. It only airs 52 episodes.
His daughter gets her own anime series twice in later years, then the main show would receive a sequel in 2020, Hakushon even been appeared as a playable fighter in "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes" only in Japan for the Nintendo Wii.

He's the only Tatsunoko fighter I know and he's CGOH exclusive which is a complete bummer. Oh well...
He was replaced in the new subname update "Ultimate All-Stars" with more popular characters like Zero from Mega Man X, Frank West from Dead Rising and Tekkaman Blade/Teknoman due to licensing with Time Warner at the time.
Funny enough, Cartoon Network PH also aired Speed Racer, another Tatsunoko anime from the 60s as part of a blocktimer with Wacky Races.
The US version is also aired on Seven Network in Australia during the late 90s as part of their "Cartoon Connection" lineup. There are few recordings from the show that was aired on Seven.
