I AM DENVER: Inside Denver March Powwow

For many Native communities, Denver March Powwow signifies the beginning of spring and powwow season. Every year, tens of thousands attend the weekend-long event at the Denver Coliseum, where traditions of dance, song, and music are honored and more than 200 tribes from around the globe reconnect and represent. Organizers and participants spoke with the I Am Denver team about the history of the annual celebration and its importance to the city and the community.
