    Looking good, I know many old school builders who will only use clouts for fixing slimline angle. A couple of plasterers have told me that they prefer to to plaster angle when its clouted in.

    Eye protection when using power tools is always nice because is cheap insurance.
    Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and God bless you!

    • @HHalcyon
      @HHalcyon Před rokem

      For eyes never go cheap. At least in a sense that either get lenses with value in them or none at all. Unnecessary strain through poor lense quality is often worse because serious eye injury itself isn't that common. In construction it's a difficult balance because gritty dust eats through lense quality in no time. So unless really necessary it's better to just skip the glasses.

    Dude why are you covering the front edge with your left hand after you finished the install if the corner bead? I wantrd to see the edge to see if the 3 piece stacked looked like?

    Good video. Can I ask though, what are you fastening the cornerbead with again? Staples? Like 3/8" (9MM?) crown staples?

    • @munromakers-projectsandout2681
      @munromakers-projectsandout2681  Před 3 lety +1

      John R hey mate, cheers, yup using crown staples length is 20mm to make sure I’m fastening through the plaster board and into the timber framing

    • @munromakers-projectsandout2681
      @munromakers-projectsandout2681  Před 4 lety

      Rob P hey mate, yea just build up to the edge then a final skim coat to feather it out, the metal edge paints up real good and you get a seamless finish

    • @moisty254
      @moisty254 Před 4 lety

      @@munromakers-projectsandout2681 cheers man. Right now I've got gyprock glued to brick, and I wanna then stick edging on, how would you fix the edging in this situation?

    • @munromakers-projectsandout2681
      @munromakers-projectsandout2681  Před 4 lety

      Rob P a couple of options you could use mate
      1- use a corner bead/edge bead that you set in place with plaster instead of nailing or stapling - will normally have a paper tape edge to set in instead of the metal edge you normally staple through for timber framed walls
      2 - you could use could set your edging beads in with a masonry tack or screw

    • @munromakers-projectsandout2681
      @munromakers-projectsandout2681  Před 3 lety

      My plasterer prefers 45 degree cuts to leave an easy edge to finish, stops him catching the sharp edge with his trowel and his taping
