It's disgusting that during a speech about him relapsing and becoming clean again, people are screaming out about doing drugs and screaming yeah. It's so disrespectful
I agree. They're pieces of shit that still think drugs are glorified. I'm trying to get clean again soon. They're all fucking assholes.

Going to 39 shows in colorado so far, I can safely say we have a very large drug problem here. I’m guilty myself with mushrooms mainly but I bet at least 40% of his audience was on something and another 30% drunk based on crowds I’ve seen here.
People screaming "SMOKE WEED" and cheering when he talked about relapsing is disgusting me.
I'm 25 right now. The same age Macklemore quit drugs. I'm trying to get my life together from alcoholism and back on track and it's heartbreaking to hear people screaming this while someone talks about their struggles, and especially when someone is being so raw and open about it.
I haven't told anyone about my addiction and I can't imagine going on stage, talking about, and having people make fun of it or cheer for the drug.

I’m a more or less a month of not smoking weed after smoking constantly for around 7 years. This song hits harder now than it did when I was in HS when it came it out. Everyday is a struggle. Especially, when it was an escape for me. My dreams are so vivid most days and causes me a lot of anxiety. A lot of trauma that I built up now drives me insane since I ran away from it for so long. I don’t count the days because I don’t want to relapse. Id much rather not think about it as much as I can.
If I can be an example of getting sober, then I can be an example of starting over.

I love this song because it's so real. When I first heard it I just played it over and over again to really understand what he's saying. I have so much respect for this man.
It pissed me off SOOO much when people were cheering for his relapse...like WELL we know who else needs rehab... :/

i feel like he is going to make a difference and help millions of addicts in this world. which he already has. he needs a humanitarian award for saving some of us addicts. i love him
For the people that are saying how he was dancing was "stupid/too much" need to realize its because he gets into his music. He's not like every other artist that gets fucked up before they get on stage to cope with the pressure. He copes by expressing how he feels by dancing.
i want to hear more from Ryan Lewis during these concerts

It is messed up. But not everyone has gone through or witnessed addiction. They think its a joke. Its one of those things you just gotta say they dont get it and move on. I thought it was a joke till i went through it myself
This really hits home for me, touches my soul. A lump In my throat once that beat dropped. Got emotional because I can relate. Since Macklemore makes music like this, he Is one of the greats. #SharkGang

yeah... people that haven't 'been there' (with what hes talking about) will never know just how DEEP that rabbit hole can go... nor how hard it is to climb out... nor how much it hurts to climb out.... they don't realize what hes saying/singing about means to those that have been there.

wow.im glad he stopped "smoking weed/drinking/jacking off/napping/playing video games" so he could get serious about music&affect people the way he has.he's got a great mind.ryan's amazing at what he does too.this is possibly my favourite song on the heist.i'll follow them for the rest of their careers now--they have my respect.im glad i got to see/hear their stuff beyond thrift shop(as fun as that song is).haven't seen this much passion&substance&wit in music in a very long time.love it.cheers.
